Sorry Wa$
I had been having a stressful morning too and was probably overly sensitive, my apologies for making assumptions and taking your words personally.
Please accept my respect and admiration.
The Fairey Battle seat is the silver one yes?
Thank you for the welcome 🙂
I plan on coming to as many events and getting to know as many people on here as possible – mainly so I can take wicked photos of all your stuff 🙂
Nameste….
I wasn’t offended by your post and I’m sorry if my reply came across a little harsh (I was pushed for time) but the seats looked interesting and I didn’t want your first post to be deleted before they had been identified for you.
Your late father was not far wrong about the seats and he certainly saved some interesting pieces of history; the Fairey Battle seat in particular is an important artefact and it would be a fitting tribute to him if it were to find its way into a restoration project.
I appreciate that you were only asking for identification but even on eBay listing an ‘ejector seat’ from a Spitfire will lose you a lot of bidders! Sorry again if my comments came across the wrong way but it is difficult to get the ‘tone’ right when writing a quick reply.
Once again, welcome to the forum! 🙂
It looks later than WW2 and the little anchor stamp on the label makes it fro a US Navy plane. It’s made by Eclipse and they produced starter motors amongst other stuff. There aren’t any joysticks or dashboards taking up valuable shed space?
Cheers Ian,
Afraid my lot is:- 2 seats, this air pump, and a few munitions boxes, however I still have a caravan in angus to go through of my dad’s stuff.
Will let you know if I find anything.
Thanks, again.
Anyone know what it is????
I reckon you’d make a fortune if you had a stall here! 😀
Hi mate, would love to come and take some pics at the museum, I do composite night shots using a light to light individual panels, usually in excess of 200 pics for one image.
Heres a KX125 I did last week….

Cheers Moggy 🙂
Don’t know what they are from but they are NOT ejector seats.
Also blatant ‘commercialism’ is frowned upon here; I’d remove any references (edit post) to selling them, eBay and valuations…
…just ask what they are and somebody will probably know. Welcome to the forum! 😉
Sorry mate, I was told my my dad they were from either spitfire or hurricane before he passed over and he said they were the seats from the plane – or the seat part with no ejector mechanism, I’m not an aviation specialist, hence the question here.
Sorry if my post offended you, it was not intended and your response was a little harsh. Have a nice day 🙂
As above.
I have amended your post to comply with the Code of Conduct.
You are welcome here, but please keep to the rules.
Good luck with your quest.

Thanks mate 🙂
First one could be Battle the second looks like Mustang- certainly American and a Warren McArthur type I think.
TT
Could you clarify TT what is “battle” and “Mustang” Sorry I’m a total retard when it comes to plane stuff, just trying to clear the junk dad left and work out whats rubbish and whats maybe collectable.
THANK YOU ALL 🙂 OXO
