Hardly “begging”. Actually, the opposite. According to the BBC, the tape offers America a truce on Bin Laden’s terms.

Easy. Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” or the theme of “633 Squadron”.

Well, the best character has to be the fat southern Sheriff from the 1970’s Bond films. “God dammit bwooy!” (spit) Sheriff G W Pepper

1.) Probably “The man with the golden gun”. When the Sheriff, on holiday in Thailand, sees Bond & stops chewing his Tobacco & says things like “you walk lak a goony bird” “you damn pointy heads” (referring to the locals) & “hey, you that English secret agent fella !” “who we after?” & “Go get ’em bwooy!”.
    Classic.

“used to play”??? NO used to about it. Still do, with Sega Master System II. Know any sites where one can buy the games? I have tried, but never could find any.

Agree, Mr Creo. If that’s how they treat a close ally, no wonder there’s so much ill feeling in the world to America.

Wot about Harry Enfield & Pual Whitehouse??

True. After Adrian Edmonso & Rik Mayall, they were the best.

    Dave, I never heard of:
Abbott and Costello, Fry and Laurie, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis; Hale & Pace, Punt & Dennis, Richard Murdoch and Arthur Askey, Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones.

I agree about Morecambe & Wise to an extent. They were mostly long-winded tales & jovial tales; the sort of thing one hears from one’s grandparents or parents.

Have you ever seen Bottom? The only one better than John Cleese & Manuel in Fawlty Towers.
