If that is SL674, then it is conceivable that the building picture was also taken at Biggin Hill. But I don’t recognise it as being either South Camp or the main administration area.

The first one has some noticeably cloned bushes in it, whilst the second one – tyres by Bridgestone? 😉

Biggin Hill is 1917 if memory serves correctly.

I don’t agree with this decision, but it is a sad reflection on modern society when money means more than trying to preserve heritage artifacts in relatively original condition.

Spitfire over south Tonbridge this morning…

By deduction it must have been TD248 that had been displaying at Woodchurch.

    Doug Arnold at Biggin Hill?

Was that in the days when that red Hunter was mounted on a pole behind those South Camp hangars?

Spitfire over south Tonbridge this morning heading West, turned to the North a few miles away from us. Approximately 12:20.

No cannons so could have been the BBMF’s P7350, but I have difficulty telling a Griffon and a Merlin apart 😉

Mark – I was always under the impression that to quote another persons posts would help avoid confusion as to who was answering who, but I can leave it off (as here) 🙂

Hey, it’s nice to dream that maybe, just maybe there could be undiscovered aviation gems around the world, in relatively good condition in the same styleee as the ex-Soviet Union finds.

And as for Photoshop tomfoolery….no idea what you’re talking about. They are bona-fida pics of real aircraft, honest gov. Keep your eyes peeled, maybe some more of my holiday snaps contain other aeronautical treasures ; -)

Do you mean the Beverley that crash landed in Egypt on its way to Port Said, and ended up becoming part of a camel sanctuary on the outskirts of Alexandria? :diablo:

I see they now have added higher resolution images for the Falkland Islands, including RAF Mount Pleasant.

DC3 just seen heading North from Biggin, possibly a sightseeing flight over London.
