slight glimmer of hope perhaps.
Has anyone heard anything regarding the apaches and tigers lack of activity? I imagined with government forces moving on misrata again this would be the perfect time to deploy them?

Most of this article is about Yemen but if you read down it states a fifth apache is being sent to HMS Ocean. Perhaps they are planning to up the tempo of operations.
Hotdog the French have deployed 4 tigers aboard tonnerre. Is 4 apaches and 4 tigers along with the handfull of gazelles really enough? Libya is not a small country and with government troops and equipment so spread out you wonder how these gunships can be everywhere at once.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13651736 Apaches and gazelles have fired their first shots.
No offence guys but when I clicked on this thread, it was to read up on the L159 for Iraq story, I dont think anyone really cares for the geography and history lesson, I’m surprised a mod hasn’t sorted it out ! So back on topic, any new developments on this story then?
Wow, I saw a second hand copy of su27 a year back in a bring and buy style sale for €10, didn’t think anything of it at the time………dohhh! Did you sell your MiG 29? I have one that is ship if I got that sort of money.
Is it time perhaps for apaches and tigers to begin flying ops over libya or is there still too big a risk from manpads? Perhaps they would tip the balance?
When the Americans say covert support, do they mean Delta’s leading the rebels from the front or directing in air strikes performing intel gathering roles, because I assume they would have been carrying out the latter already???
After alot of searching I managed to find this photo
