What if they do use the Varyag and breach the original deal that she would never be rebuilt or used as a military ship!? Is there anything that can be done against them legally, not that the chinesse would care!

Irish is a language in its own.
But I guess most Irish can speak English.
The accent is a challenge though. 😀

Thanks for that Schorsch i did know as an Irish Man that we have our own language, i might look into that!As for the accent, im sure most people would have more of a problem understanding Mainland Europeans trying to speak English than they would Irish people speaking.

In Ireland we speak Irish and English.Irish is unfortunately fading away fast and is only spoken fluently on a daily basis in the Gaeltacht regions which are few and far between, as most people from the areas have to leave to find employment. Most Irish soldiers would only have basic Irish.

That doesn’t explain how they managed to communicate with the Irish though.

How does it not explain how they communicated?

In the Irish EUFOR camp in Abeche Chad, there is a battalion of Irish soldiers and a few platoons of Dutch Marines. Both operate on week long patrols together and there seems to be no problem what so ever with language as most of the Dutch speak English. Also to note in the violence a few months ago when the rebels advanced and took Abeche from the Chadian army ,Irish and Dutch troops deployed together and co-ordinated defence of the refugee camp and the town. The force came under fire and responded in kind, while French Mirage F1’s carried out Recce patrols in the area so there wouldnt be any suprises. This is just an example of integration despite this so called language barrier.

so that would include spares for the PC-7/9’s also, not that it should be a major problem anyway as they will be likely just acquired via third party or Chad will simply use them until they run out of parts and then ask libya very nicely for some SF-260’s.

Thanks flex:D. I was in my attic there looking for that edition of AFM, but i cant find it, maybe someone would be kind enough to post it if they have it, the october edition concerning the Chadian SU-25s.The article mentioned that they were in talks concerning a batch of frogfoots and that Chadian personel were already in ukraine. My memory is a bit hazy but that is pretty much the jist of it.Cant wait for pics to come through.

Flex, i know this is nothing solid as its wiki, but there is a reference to the SU25s here and according to the article 2 are already in service with more on order.6 is the total number mentioned.

Oh right, i was thinking about yemeni fulcrums for some reason??
If this ceasefire breaks down over darfur we could be seeing some chadian SU25s being made mince meat by these fulcrums! Was one of the Fulcrums not lost during the rebel advance on Khartoum?

Here is a picture of an Irish Air Corps AW-139 airlifting the wreckage of a British registered PA-28 that crashed in the Wicklow mountains at the end of october, sadly none of the occupants survived.Image copyright the IrishTimes.
