Good point, but even with the tanks it would still have a low enough RCS so it might not take aslong to pick up, but it might satisfy some of the radar manufacturers claims perhaps!?
Ha!brilliance!
then perhaps in the future we could see a russian testbed be it a flanker or some modified transport or whatever mounted with this radar and get as close to alaskan airspace as possible!would be interesting to see the results!
😮 Wraith hive-ship?!! 😮
Ruuuunnn!
wraith i wouldnt be too worried!Hyper did you see the trailer for the next episode of atlantis?here is the link but at your own peril, huge huge spoilers!

If cheap is the way to go they could always buy a version of the Fulcrum!?i mean there are definitly enough modern versions available, be it in the SMT configuration, MiG35 or an SMT with OVT engines and the new Zhuk Aesa radar!?They would be able to match the Su’s and MiGs of the Algerian AirForce!just a thought!
i was there when it happened and was onboard the helicopter a few hours before it took of.there were so many people on the helicopter as the crew allowed civilians to walk up to the ramp sit in the cockpit etc, and while i was outside it beside the main door there were children grabbing the railings to pull them selves up into the machine and i was looking at the door and saw that it looks like an emergency panel that you pull down the lever and push to knock the door out of place in an emergency, so perhaps a child or someone pulled the lever not knowing and it went un noticed until it was too late!i was down at the beach after and saw people being stretchered off and the gardai and Irish Air Corps quickly established a perimeter allowing nobody near the jettisoned door, there were also some British army guys there aswell!
thanks for your advice!guys!iv decided not to but the SP550UZ instead iv opted for this Olympus E-500 on Ebay.the price is competitive enough too,its infact about the price of the SP550UZ on the high street!
thanks, some valid points!iv been browsing around online for the last few hours looking for a camera and although i didnt consider it at first i’ve found a CANON EOS 400D going for £265!from the reviews iv read it seems like a handy model!do you have an opinion on this camera!but for the price i think its a very good buy!?
then Robbo, staying within the same price range as this Olympus, what camera would recommend for photographing aircraft with as similar zoom as possible?i was considering buying this camera in the next few weeks, so any opinions would be much appreciated!oh and there is a much better review of the camera and its features herehttp://www.dcresource.com/reviews/olympus/sp550uz-review/
is this not pretty much the EADS mako?looks very similiar, well to me anyway!?
i think it suited the Irish colours better!this just looks like any old spit now!the grace spitfire is flying from duxford too?is duxford its home airfield?so thats 2ex Irish spitfires flying out of the same airfield in one day over 40years after they were sold on!
yip thats the same book that i have!well worth the money!theres a list of every fulcrum built up to a few years ago, if you were patient enough to go through the list you could probably find out how many fulcrums were in service during the questioned year!
was it an aircraft or a SAM that brought it down!?hopefully one of those lovely new fulcrums!
what are your reasons for putting the Iranian and Algerian AF’s above the EAF?im not saying you are wrong but im just wondering how you came to this conclusion!
any takers?
