I am also late to read about this sad news. Have for years been impressed and amazed watching Ray’s flying displays. We’ll surely miss him on the airshow scene.

Great pics, I must go there one day.
Have not visited for years so I’ll also try to make it on Dec 11th.

Thanks to Paul Dunkerley, I have added a couple of his pictures of Demon K8203, built by Boulton Paul to my website: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/markansell/bpa/demon/demon.html
Can’t wait to see this in action!
I’ve tried to list the known BP turret survivors here: http://www.boultonpaul.com/preserved/ with thanks to those on this forum who have supplied pictures.
Have also heard stories of pits with turrets, wings and so on buried towards the end of the war. Appears there was a general policy to create landfill sites for surplus materials at various airfields or company premises.
I think TFC’s current P-40 is a P-40M model rather than ‘N’. Main visible difference is the curved instead of square cut rear cockpit window.
Wow, I love that great shot of the two Sabres. Seem very close.
Agree with multivac, I saw work in progress on the Gladiator and Beaufighter last Friday.
I should be there on Sunday and Biggin on Saturday, at least that’s the plan at the moment.
Great shots Dan, am also sad to see these go.
I agree with the other “Wow”s above.
Many thanks for letting us see these pics and excellent flypast/displays over the weekend, especially after having to swap Hurricanes for the Sunday.
Great news, look forward to seeing her again.
For the Battle of Britain, the Then & Now book by After the Battle has many quotes direct from the ORB entries of the time.
A good general one is Defiant – The True Story, by the late John A Chambers, a former BP worker who got to know a fair number of surviving crew members whose stories he used throughout his book. This was published in 1997, unsure if its available now but the details are: ISBN 1 901405 11 7.

I’m currently working on an extended bibliography for the Defiant which I’ll put up on http://www.boultonpaul.com to accompany the forthcoming book Mike has mentioned.
Love the sun on the wet Typhoon and Hawk and the Vulcan looking very Matt.
Looks like a great show. Some very nice pics there.
After returning home on that cloudy afternoon as the sky cleared I had thought to myself it was looking like good weather for a flying evening. Shame it was not advertised more widely.
