BBC news:
Massive job losses at air company
More than 500 jobs are due to go at one of the South’s biggest aviation companies, it has been announced.
European Aviation is to shed 560 jobs from a staff of just over 600, claiming it has expanded too rapidly.
It is thought the Bournemouth Airport-based company’s fleet of aircraft could dwindle to just two.
The company, which charters large aircraft, trains cabin crew members and maintains and services aircraft, was set up in 1989.
I don’t like the new look of MAN’s website
Apparently the 732’s are to continue operations. So perhaps theres hope yet
But I thought EAF cannot fly any more?
Even the 737-200 flights?
Here’s one of the birds at NCL, does anybody know if their flights are going to be opperated by a different airline?
can’t find any evidence though
Nether can I, but looks likely, one of their 747’s getting broken up and the 737-300’s cancelled
I’ll take it for 20 Euros
1 euro:eek: 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮
Have a good trip:) 🙂 🙂
The arrival and deprt boards are crap, I preferred the old website.
Is it
http://www.newcastleairport.com
or
http://www.newcastleinternational.co.uk
I cannot get onto it
I think britannia copied of British airways because they both begin with the letter ‘B’
I think British Airways copied of Britannia because they both begin with the letter ‘B’ 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
”’You can’t.
the engine cowlings are made from composite material, not metal.”’
Is that why one Thomas Cook 757 has a half green half blue cover on the engine?
From planeMad
”I went to the airport today and took some pictures but not that many because
for about 30 mins no planes landed at manchester so me and my mate was waiting until PIA 747 looked like it had alot of turbolence so we was watching it come in to land.
It landed and we thought it was just taking it’s time to get off the runway
until SN BRUSSELS (146) made a go around, then a KLM(737) so we whent and looked and it had about 5 fire engines
behind it so we got a couple of pictures and we found out off this man that it landed to far down the runway
and had to brake immediately but it broke that much the brakes set on fire,
it was escorted to the gate were they
sorted it out for the next flight home.”
