So countries still believe in the validity of the dogfight, then?
Still, I suppose your idea makes some sense; I was under the impression that it the same logic behind the US Army’s new pixelated camo.
But would a missile’s sensors care if the plane is all pixel-y? I mean, could it confuse an IR missile, or something?

The spotty painted one is amazing, was that done for a tiger meet or something? They all look really well used aircraft, the cockpit view shows how dated they are.
Really pretty planes though, the chisel nose has aged well.
Spotty Jag was for the disbandment last year

Photos (maybe leaked from Chen Koon Hei’s personal computer) that claim ROCAF F-16A #6706 defected to Commie China, a few nights ago.
But ROCAF pilots don’t wear white helmets.
Is that someone on the bbs board trying to spin a story of the missing F-16?

Mildenhall based aircraft. Apparently an MC-130H.
‘A police spokesman read out a statement on behalf of the US Airforce at Mildenhall which said that an MC130H aircraft, assigned to the 350 2nd Special Operations Group, dropped a chaff module on its flight.’

Russia has already luled U.S. into a false sense of security going on 48 years now. All those Missile test failers and false starts of the Su-35/PAK-FA programs are in my opinion “Disinformation” to make the west (think) “Russia is blunndering again”
You do realise that the Russians provide a time window for ballistic missile tests? Part of treaty compliance and also in general the telemetry is open. The time window allows the US to position assets to monitor the missile launches, its flight path and inert warhead impact.

‘Afterwards, the START I Treaty was signed in 1991. This Treaty contains an obligation to notify any flight test of an ICBM or SLBM, including those used to launch objects into the upper atmosphere or space. In addition to the requirements under the Ballistic Missile Launch Notification Agreement (i.e., that the notifying Party provide planned launch date, launch area, and reentry impact area), the START I Treaty requires that the notifying Party must also specify the telemetry broadcast frequencies to be used, modulation types and information as to whether the flight test is to employ encapsulation or encryption.’
Don’t know if anyone has tried these websites?

well the I’s and K’s are not “U.S.” F-15’s
yes the E’s haven’t been grounded. bUt that still a amall amount of E’s campaired to the A-D.
Just a bit of back-peddling there on your original statement. ‘ENTIRE’ would have been a 100% grounding.
You have no idea how hard I laugh when you question me:D

You need to work on your alphabet, 1MAN!
Except Wales, but then no one would want to conquer them anyway. And the Independent Commune of Brum, that only has an Attack force.
Seriously though when did the UK military start wearing their uniforms in public anyway when ‘off-duty’? – back in the IRA days it was a strict no-no.
Regs were relaxed around about 2000. It may have been a few years earlier. This wasn’t for ‘off-duty’, but if you were on duty and had to go off base in uniform. Prior to that it was ‘cover-up’ with a civilian jacket on when driving to and from work. There are clear guidelines as to what uniform you can wear whilst out in public. For example aircrew in flightsuits (growbags) are breaking the rules if you see them in Tescos etc.
Yeah just like those F-15’s that have cause the ENTIRE grounding of ALL F-15’s:D
These F-15s caught by snappers at Lakenheath last week must all be photoshopped then?

Thanks for the comments.
Hi Scott,
Not a pro. It’s just a hobby of mine. Anyone can do it! The technology does all the hard work and all you have to do is master it. It is all really down to practice and trial and error. Quality glass (Lens) is obviously a key factor here. Buy the best lens that you can afford and it you will be rewarded with the results.
I use a double handled shoulder mount for a stable platform on the hills and at airshows. The double handle allows you to pull it in tight to your shoulder whilst tracking. You can use it with the trigger release, or simply as a shoulder mount and operate the shutter release as normal.

On the low-level routes in Wales there are always plenty of Bae Hawks about from RAF Valley. They provide good photographic opportunities, but are also excellent to practice on. Plenty of practice and away you go!

it won’t be too long till a bear breaks and the crew have to be rescued, wonder who will be doing the rescuing….?
The nearest SAR force and vessels to the incident. Military or civilian everyone in the vicinity is going to assist. Say for example a NATO ASW aircraft ditched in the Barents, the Russians would assist in the rescue of the personnel.
Some Harriers for you Roberto.
