Do Tu-160s ever make it around the island or is it almost exclusively Bears?

    I presume that Tu-22Ms don’t have the range…?

    Tu-160s now and again.

i watched the parade. The UAV/UCAVs are carried on back of the truck rather in flight past. it shows how unreliable are these unmanned aircraft for flight formations.

Good grief man. Are you serious? Can you imagine the carnage and repercussions if UAV/UCAVS malfunctioned or collided during such a parade? Absolutely no need for UAVs to be involved in formation parade flights over populated areas. Is it any wonder some people worry about you on this forum?

This has come up before. I can’t see Russia sending troops to Syria to fight ISIS?

    From 4th August 2015.

Russia not planning to send troops to fight ISIS in Syria – Putin’s spokesman

The participation of the Russian military alongside the US in the fight against Islamic State militants in Syria, is not on the agenda, said Dmitry Peskov, the presidential press-secretary.

“No, this isn’t being discussed in any way. This issue isn’t on the agenda,” Peskov told reporters on Tuesday when asked about the possibility of Russian military involvement in Syria.

The press-secretary also told the media that Syrian President Bashar Assad, had never asked his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to send troops to battle IS (formerly ISIS/ISIL).

the RAF Nimrod R1 replacement deal (RC-135) is also, in my eyes, a waist of money. why replace an old aircraft with a platform thats just as old.
would have been cheaper and more sense to buy additional Sentinel R1’s.

    .

Sentinel R.1 don’t do SIGINT/COMINT. The RAF wanted a crewed replacement. The Nimrod R.1 carried the largest crew by type in the RAF and you can’t squeeze all that crew and equipment into the likes of a Sentinel. Perfect decision by the UK with the RC-135s in order not to have a capability gap. RC-135s and 135 conversions tried and tested. UK and US intelligence intertwined so it made a perfect choice in the end. The alternatives would have been drawn out with tests and trials/certification, etc with major impact on capability.

I don’t know if this is “horrible” per se, but the recent RC-135 deal the RAF struck with the U.S. is questionable to me. The airframe the RC-135 is based is ancient. Despite an excellent maintenance policy, which may be in place, the airframes are still old. How much more would it have taken to place the RC-135 electronics package in a younger airframe?

A lot of development work with the resulting test and trials leading to significant capability gap for the UK. The UK wanted a limited capability gap hence the RC-135 buy. In the end the deal worked out fine. Shared capability/crewing on USAF RC-135 fleet and then delivery of airframes. One of the better defence expenditures made by the UK, IMHO.

wish they made that page link shorter.

Footage of some of those idiots using mobile phones have been uploaded to the likes of You Tube. I won’t post the video links, but they are disgusting. They should be named and shamed, IMHO. What possesses people to run about such a scene of carnage and record it?

My thoughts exactly. Would even suggest butterfly. Doesn’t look the write colour, shape or angle from the rear of the aircraft to be a flame out.

All just my opinion of course.

I couldn’t believe that claim from The Mirror when I saw that video. Absolutely ridiculous that it could be even considered to be a flame out. There is also another idiotic claim that an object flew near the Hunter. Once the conspiracy nuts get going on this sort of thing there is no stopping them. The object (claimed to be an “orb”) in the following video is no where near the Hunter. This illusion happens when things like pollen, insects and birds pass closer to the camera that the subject being filmed. All it takes is bright conditions and being out of focus to lead people astray. Also notice how they disable comments on some of these videos?

I doubt it would have shown up on Flight24 as no military traffic seems to appear there.

Thanks very much for the info update. Military aircraft do sometimes appear on Flight Radar 24. For example next time there is a UK Quick Reaction Alert you will be able to see the RAF Voyager tanker. I’ve checked back on Flight Radar 24 and the dates you posted are no longer available. I’ve checked PlaneFinder with nothing noted over Westbury at the date/times posted.

I’ve created a thread over on Fighter Control forum. Hopefully the guys on there will be able to shed some light on the flights?

Exact dates would be helpful. Did you also check on flight tracking software?

Are you referring to Monday 3rd, Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th August?

This chemtrail nut in the UK is intending to take Ryan Air to court over his solar panels! 🙂

You have to read this- my latest project. -Concerning Ryan Air- I shall shortly issue a prosecution order from the county court to seek a judgement for compensation of the following losses should they refuse to pay my invoice. They have been blocking sunlight from my solar panels for sometime. Today they were at it again and quite frankly, Iv`e had enough! For the people who know me, once I get my mind set and my teeth in I NEVER let go! I shall be shortly posting my letter to Ryan air with an invoice for loss of sunlight to my solar panels. It shall be a nominal amount for compensation. If it is not paid within 30 days eom, I shall issue legal proceedings to prosecute in the county court by issuing a county court summons. Along the lines of . . Within 1 hour of your flights passing over and upwind near my property my solar panel generation has dropped by as much as 85%. This is a fact. My inverter displays and proves these percentages. The `jet lines` emitted from your turbines efficiently blocked out sunlight that would have otherwise generated electricity for both my home and the grid. I also get paid from Eon Plc. a `feed in tariff` @ 18.4 pence for EVERY kilowatt hour generated regardless of whether it goes to the grid or used by me . This is also being affected by your solar blocking jet emissions. Therefore, I am losing money by your flights and you are directly responsible. As you do not have to pay ANY carbon tax or pollution taxes then not only is this totally fair to pay to me but I believe it to be mandatory and the courts will find in my favour. I can see that this is going to cause s*** to hit the fan within the board of Directors. If I set a precedent. Then the £55,000,000 million pound solar farms in the UK are going to have a field day with this!! Bring it on. (letter and invoice to follow above soon) . . . H A P P Y D A Y S ! – Photos below of my solar panels, my inverter on reduced production output, the Directors of Ryanair, £54,000,000 solar farm UK. Ryanair leaving solar blocking emissions Sunday 8th August 2015 over and to the North of Wolverhampton. Solar panels being blocked by aerosol emissions, total white-out over the UK exclusively by jet aircraft including the aircraft of Ryanair.

Now confirmed that the flaperon is from MH370.

Part of the aircraft wing found on Reunion island is from the missing MH370 plane, Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak has confirmed.
Mr Razak said international experts examining the debris in France had “conclusively confirmed” it was from the aircraft.

The Malaysia Airlines plane carrying 239 people veered off course from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing in March 2014.
The debris was examined at an aeronautical test centre near Toulouse. It was found on the remote French Indian Ocean island of Reunion a week ago.

In a statement, Mr Razak said the “the burden and uncertainty faced by the families” in the 515 days since the aircraft disappeared had been “unspeakable”.
“We now have physical evidence that flight MH370 tragically ended in the southern Indian Ocean,” he added.
