I am 99% sure that is a straight wing aircraft, i.e. NOT the MH17 (Boeing-777). Likely one of the An-26s shot down.
Correct it is an Antonov. The footage is from the 6th June when an An-30 was downed.
Some of the chemtrail community swear by the vinegar. All it takes is 10 minutes! 🙂
TEHRAN — State media reported Saturday that an Iranian military pilot was killed in Iraq, the first confirmation that Iranian forces are involved in the Iraqi government’s battle to repel an offensive by al-Qaeda-inspired extremists.
IRNA, Iran’s official news agency, did not provide details of how or when the pilot was killed but said he died defending holy places in the Iraqi city of Samarra, which is home to an important Shiite pilgrimage site.
Su-25s arriving in Iraq.
I often wonder the reason for these intercepts.
So the Russians are trying to gauge our response times? Why don’t we just track them and ignore them.
There is also the flight safety risk and especially involving Russian aircraft near to the UK.
Wing Commander Mark Gorringe, Officer Commanding 111 Sqn, RAF Leuchars, said:
‘This is not an unusual incident and people may be surprised to know that our crews have successfully scrambled to intercept Russian aircraft on more than 10 occasions since the start of 2009.’
Some Russian missions fly far out into the Atlantic and whilst others journey south towards the coastline of north west Europe, turning short of penetrating sovereign airspace. These incidents concern NATO airmen as the Russian military flights are often not coordinated with civil Air Traffic Control (ATC) and therefore, can pose a real threat to flight safety in what are some of the busiest air-routes in the world. Although NATINADS is not responsible for flight safety across Europe, it contributes by assisting civil ATC by identifying and tracking such incidents.
The UK Flight Information Region, outside of 12 nautical miles from the UK coastline, remains international airspace but to transit the area aircraft are required to file flight plans, communicate with Air Traffic Control and utilise secondary surveillance radar (SSR), a means for providing information on the air traffic control agency and height. Russian military aircraft do not adhere to these accepted Air Traffic Control requirements. This is against International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regulations for which Russia is a signatory state and poses a potential flight safety risk. We are taking this issue forward with Department for Transport, who through the Civil Aviation Authority and the National Air Traffic Services contract provide Air Traffic Control services.
The UK Flight Information Region (see map below) contains some of the busiest airspace in Europe including the transatlantic air route structure. Within the UK Flight Information Region, Air Traffic Control operations rely largely on SSR to maintain safe distances between aircraft operating in close proximity. Aircraft not transponding SSR can therefore be invisible to Air Traffic Control operators. Risks to flight safety are mitigated by close liaison between UK Air Defence and Air Traffic Control units. Air Defence units use a combination of primary radar and SSR and are able to detect such aircraft within Air Defence radar coverage. The launch of UK Quick Reaction Alert aircraft to intercept unidentified aircraft also mitigates the flight safety risk.

Nothing unusual about Tornados out and about at that time.
Reported on a UK aviation forum (Fighter Control – see links)
Tornado low level over Worksop
finnmac2 » 11 Jun 2014, 19:52Just seen a Tornado GR1 ?..Low level over Worksop at around 3,000ft mark heading north east…Any help guys ?
Obviously he meant a GR4. Some areas of Fighter Control you have to register to view. Posts in reply have GR4 serials and call signs active during that period of evening flying.

Come on, posting a link with soldiers swearing is not suitable ?
Besides, the link is already in the second post of this thread.

Kovy,
That isn’t the full video. The longer version of the video that I have a link for contains a lot of foul language. This forum also allows under 13s to register with parental/guardian consent. After reviewing the link I was going to post I became aware of the very strong language and considered those youngsters that might be viewing the forum. Some people would certainly find it offensive and the post could have been reported.
If you are under the age of 13, the administrator may require that a parent or guardian provide consent before allowing you to complete the registration process. More information about this is available during the registration process.
What if I see something offensive?
You will find ‘Report’ links in many places throughout the board. These links allow you to alert the board staff to anything which you find to be offensive, objectionable or illegal.
The whole thing looks more like a test to me than an actual combat strike but I could be wrong.
I’m afraid that you are wrong. Sector51, the person that faked the video, is a well known hoaxer. He/She simply uses footage that is on the web and thinks that nobody will find the original. The original video shows a group of US troops calling in an airstrike on a car bomb factory in Iraq. The original has been on You Tube since 2007. Sector51 has the footage as “Afghanistan 2014”. I won’t post the original video link as it is full of swearing and not really suitable as per the rules on the forum. PM me if you want the link to the original footage.
I like the F-15E images, Tim. Always nice to have a bit of rock in the background!

How accessible is it. How long walking from where you leave the car, any costs involved and do you need to book.
