Full credit for diverting the conversation. You talk of British soldiers standing by while Israelis were killed in 1948, please, you and I and anyone who knows their history fully realises the extent of which both Jews and Muslims carried out massacre after massacre, atrocity after atrocity in 1948. What about the British soldiers publicy hanged by the Stern Gang!? Was that not a “Terrorist organisation”!?
Lets stick to teh debate, namely what Israel is doing to not only armed Palistinian militia, but also to unarmed woman and children.
I could fill up this entire thread with stories about “terrorists” who happen to be 6 year old girls expertly shot through the eye by 5.56mm M-16 bullets. Its not nice.
Please, no one here is debating Israels right to exist, its just to try and blatantly defend the indefensible is what shocks.
The Israeli Army is one of teh best in the world , with a combat record that many armies only can dream of.
But lets not kid ourselves, this is not the brave, outnumbered Army of committed individuals who fought and neat a larger and better equipped enemy. This is not the Army of Moshe Dayan, Yitzhak Rabin or even Ariel “Arik” Sharon in 1973.
Back then Israelis flew in from all over the world , some even fighting in jeans and t-shirts to defend their religious homeland.
Ask yourself why no that instead of that, officers and men are refusing to serve. Some of your fine men know the difference between right and wrong. This goes to the credit of your society. They claim they do not want to fight on behalf of settlers in occupied land, yet they would gladly fight to the death to protect Israel. These men are the Israeli army of old…….

Please lets get over this “we are outnumbered heavily and surrounded by bad guys” routine. That was the case in the past but not any more.
Israel has embassies in Cairo and Amman.
Israel is the only country in teh Middle East with the capability to wipe out the whole place with nukes.
Your Air Force and Army could take on all your neighbours and still have enough men to find Bin Laden if they wanted too!!!!!
Peaple on this forum are very aware of your countries armed forces, lets be realistic.

I really , really don’t care if you decided to change your mind about Pakistanis and like us. I don’t sell tickets for the Pakistan Tourism Board and am not here to win a popularity contest.
If you ever bother to visit countries you have such a strong opinion about, you will fine your average Pakistani quite likeable…
He hates Israel’s policies, but think Jews have a right to a country….
He admires Christians and Jews as fellow people of the book…..
He despises the people who committed the Sept 11 acts, yet thinks America must change the way it behaves….
He hates Britians old colonialism, but loves cricket…
He listens to Indian music and watches Indian films, yet will jump into the recruitment line and be ready to die for his country….
He does not usually give money to beggars, but will break off some of the bread from his lunch and give it to a hungary child……
He wants his country to be strong, he wants it to be rich, but more importantly……he wants it to be proud!
I am sorry to say this, but he also does not give a flying monkey’s backside what you think of him and his nation…….
