The Saab 2000 is leased from Eastern Airways.
Aircraft is crewed by Eastern pilots and cabin crew, but they wear the BA uniform.
Was originally used to allow BA to launch their LCY-IOM route, however this is now operated using a BA Embraer.
The Saab 2000 is still on lease to BA and is currently being used on their new LCY-DUS route.
No idea why the aircraft was in ABZ though – sorry!
Thanks for that… it looks pretty cool in the BA cols, would have been nice in sunlight
Thanks for the kind comments, Unfortunately the show wasn’t really a classic, sign of the times I guess, very surprised that zero participation by the USAF, The Viggen for me gave the best show of the day, at one point it horsed VERY low west to east full afterburners on!!… sound of several car alarms ensued after 😮
FANTASTIC set! both of them, really clear sharp great shots, and top drawer quality movements too, the An 148 WOW, and nice to see a Shed still flying (Even in boring white)
Thanks Mark.. Aye.. spent longer drying my lens than shooting hehe
