No connection Allen AFAIK, the downsizing of tomorrows flight is very odd as it is 100% fully booked all classes, the unlucky pax being routed via England, must be some sort of operational thing, i fly EK a week on wednesday and have been told it will be a 773.
Cracking stuff Widdy, very good catch on the 154 (minus annoying stairs!!!)
Spot on,Rab.
Great worthy shot. No doubt A-Net would reject it, i notice one or two blades of grass are not quite vertical, and the trees in the background are just not green enough:dev2: :dev2:
Very good Rab.
So good they were posted twice hehe :dev2: :dev2:
Did you not see the Tu154 that was due today, footy charter? no idea when/if it was in,been away in Engerland all day
Thanks everyone for the great replies.
Unfortunately i got outbid for the lens ,which finished at £491, a bargain IMO.
Oh well, think i am now going to plump for one of the many 100-400 L series knocking about, am off on a shooting trip round Asia in a couple of weeks, and want to come back with a much higher proprtion of “keepers” than i will get with my old 75-300mm.
Cheers again all.
Great stuff,Kevin
Heard about that way too late, nice catch all the same.
Fantastic selection!!
Taken from the new petrol station i take it with 27L departures?? A cracking place for t/o shots.
Very good job.
Cheers Alex
I think it’s the size thats holding me back (for no real reason:confused: ) it is currently sitting at just over £200 which seems really good for an IS DO lens (although it’s price will rocket in the last 5 minutes of auction!! ) I am also looking at a 100-400mm IS USM L series lens that is currently sitting at £435 finishing tomorrow, though these Lenses seem to go for around the £750 mark a wee bit steep for me.
Thanks for the input.
Cal;
The below shot shows the wheels on the 208, i shot this landing at GLA last week.
Great news and good luck with the business! Presumably the aircraft is still US registered, any photos available?
I actually drove by the owners wee house on Loch Lomond yesterday on my way to Islay, and both were moored up outside, unfortunately Scottish summer was in full force (10!!) so never stopped to shoot them, here they are in more clement weather:

and

Looking forward to this starting up, their prices seem to have been reduced to realistic levels (remember reading about planned fares in the thousands!!)
Good luck to them.
If you was there after lunch you would off seen an British Airways Cargo 747 doing touch and go. And if you was there Tuesday you would off seen Oasis 747 an Cargolux 747 and Wednesday you would of catched MK 747 ,RAF Herk C-130 and A300F Egypt Air Cargo:D
James
Typical for me,James. Not a sausage visiting when i was there, oh well.
Cheers Lance
No bigggy, done a post from Dundee a couple of weeks back that vanished, and a couple of replies too, all seems normal now.. not worried about it.
Got them both now,Alex. Agreed very sexy looking aircraft indeed.
Great shots as usual.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Si: one has to go where one must when the boss’ fingers click hehe
Short Finals and James.. many thanks for that, i knew you would have had the info James:D , That will be excellent to see a 707 back on the G- register , i seen this beastie many times when i lived in Oz (looks a wee bit more lived in now:) ) I was at MSE on monday around 4pm ish after coming off the ferry.
Adam: I agree about the EZY’s normally i don’t bother processing them, but, they did look smart in the dawn light. (very very little processing on all the dawn shots just crop and sharpened a bit.)
Rab: cheers big yin…. speed what???:diablo: :diablo: 😀
