It’s currently in the storage hangar on the other side of the airfield, and yes wouldn’t it
be good to have it on display for local interest. But I suppose if space is required it is easy to squeeze into the storage hangar with it’s folding wings and it is at the RAF museum with ROYAL NAVY boldly painted on the fuselage.Rumours of a move to Yeovilton have come and gone many times over the last twenty years.

A read a news report saying the conservatives are ahead in the polls.
If so, would that be a huge change in daily policies?
What’s your opinion, who will win?

    😀

No-one wins British elections. Sooner or later the incumbent party loses, but it might be stretching a point to say that anyone wins.

Nice to see a Dragon Rapide and Miles Messenger on the tarmac – although a smudge obscured the latter’s tail so couldn’t be certain.

But why did he come in hot on one engine in stead of making a steeper approach on idle so as to minimise the asymetric thrust? Was it just for heightened tension in the film?

Probably just for heightened tension, like making the tyres squeal on the grass.Great stuff though !

    Paznany PL1 G-BDHJ

Just a little more info on G-BDHJ for you,TSR. The aircraft was built at home
by the late Harold Jones,at Stretton,Staffs, which explains the reg ending in HJ,the BD part being his wife,Brenda Dorothy. It was completed , if my memory serves me correctly, late 76 or early 77,with the first flight made at Halfpenny Green by the then CFI Mike Edwards. What ever the exact dates were it was ready for Harold to fly to the 1977 PFA rally, where he won the Air Squadron Trophy for the best homebuilt of the year.Last I heard it was stored dismantled at Sleap. (Pls see link.)

Always wondered if ‘production cost saver spare wheel’ would be a more honest description of those things.

A.N.Other:- Hello, how was the flight?
    Auster pilot:- Pardon?

Anyway, I love pre war aeroplanes even if they were built post war.

    I’m perplexed…what’s this about???

Sorry,Steve.Didn’t think about non-UK forum members probably not knowing that the AA is a British motoring organisation who ,amongst other services,
will come out and jump start your car if you’ve got a flat battery.(They also
used to use yellow vans). I must start thinking internationally.
