Berlin va réduire ses commandes d’Eurofighter et de Puma (presse)
BERLIN, 10 jan (AFP) – L’Allemagne va réduire ses commandes d’avions de combat Eurofighter et d’hélicoptères Puma, dans le cadre d’un plan d’économies de l’armée allemande, en difficulté financière, rapporte le quotidien Bild de samedi, en citant des sources militaires allemandes.

Le ministre allemand de la Défense, Peter Struck, envisage d’économiser quelque 23 milliards d’euros d’ici à 2018, soit davantage que prévu initialement, précise le plus grand journal allemand.

Par conséquent, la troisième tranche de la commande allemande d’Eurofighter (68 appareils) sera nettement réduite, ajoute Bild sans préciser de combien d’unités.

En revanche, les deux premières tranches de cette commandeEurofighter) ne sont pas menacées, selon la même source.

L’Allemagne avait donné, fin juin 2003, son feu vert à la livraison de 180 Eurofighter, le projet d’armement le plus cher de l’histoire de la Bundeswehr, l’armée allemande.

L’avion de combat Eurofighter est construit par un consortium européen formé par le groupe franco-germano-espagnol de défense EADS, le britannique BAe Systems et l’italien Alenia.

Dans le cadre du plan d’économie de la Bundeswehr, qui sera présenté mardi par M. Struck, Berlin va aussi revoir à la baisse sa commande d’hélicoptères Puma à 300 unités contre 418 prévus jusqu’ici, poursuit Bild.

Le ministère de la Défense s’est refusé à commenter ces informations.

De son côté, le journal dominical Welt am Sonntag affirme que l’armée allemande va également réduire, dans le cadre de ce plan d’économies, l’ensemble de son personnel à 250.000 personnes contre 285.000 actuellement.

Les effectifs civils seront les plus durement touchés, avec une réduction à 75.000 postes d’ici à 2010 contre plus de 100.000 actuellement, selon Welt am Sonntag. Ces suppressions d’emplois s’effectueront à travers des départs en pré-retraite et des départs en retraite non remplacés.
