    The Sweeney.

I still have an episode on tape though don’t now remember what it was titled as my video player has long-since packed-up. It was a story about one of the top brass coppers who had a secret to hide about his shady past during the Korean/ Vietnam war. How his gang were responsible for the murder of civillians, including children. This bent copper paid some of his old Army pals to nick this damning evidence from a certain location but it went wrong when one of them broke or twisted his ankle and was left behind. One of the gang went to shoot him but was stopped by the leader who said ”Don’t he wont talk” or something like that. Anyone have a clue what i’m talking about…..:)

    The Sweeney.

One of my all time favorites. The car chases, the slang and ofcourse the music. I had that as a ring-tone on my mobile for ages. Good to know that the Ford Consul is being restored, though personally I prefer the later Ford Granada. I had one for a year or so..superb car !! Thinking about it ? it was my definite Favorite ! followed closely by Minder. 🙂 Recently watched a couple of the Professionals….seemed a bit corny now 😡 compared to the Sweeney.

    Scalextric.

Brilliant !! I done something similar a few years ago when I bought a flying model Hurricane that I saw in a shop. Told the assistance to wrap it up as it was a birthday present for a 10 year old cousin. 🙂

    Ice road Idiots.

Well there’s always one-or-two who slip through the the net. But don’t ever beleive all that’s shown on the television… the best clips are the best parts played !! The Hi-lite to my day was as i approached my local supermarket, the exit side was blocked by a Women-Driver mounted upon the 10” high railings by the ticket-hut. The whole car-park was ice-free, she sat there with her foot down trying to get off. A few of us tried to shove it off, couldn’t be done…eventually a fork lift appeared to remove it. I tried to photograph this on my phone but it was too dark…. 3.22pm !!

I also wonder if our smug percieved greatness in the world isn’t quite what we hope it to be. Many assumed that we had this in the bag because it’s ‘our game’ and we sent a top footballer, a PM, and a Royal to the presentation, while Putin didn’t even bother going. Maybe it’s time to look at our own self image and performance in previous football internationals instead of lashing out about shady dealings within FIFA.

Quite agree, let’s just give it all up as a bad job, we always lose anyway….

    Ice road Idiots.

Twice yesterday within a minute two stupid women drivers, who, after being given way from drivers in the opposite direction waited until i was about 6 inches away before pulling-out, a purse-sized scrape on their side window. Had i crashed into them it would ofcourse been my fault !!!

    Football.

All this responce to who kicks a ball around on who’s bit of turf, does it really matter?? Watching the snow melt is more interesting. It would be so much easier to go out and buy a BIG CUP.
