DL have never operated out of GLA, they have only or still only operate out of EDI. They usually operate the service on a 763 or even a 764.

The only US/Canadian operators that use Glasgow are Continental to Newark n US Airways to Philadeplhia and Air Transat.
American, Canada 3000, Northwest n Air Canada used to come in regularly but havent been in operating a route for many years.

Fab pictures! I was on the Qantas 747. It was VH-OJN operating the QF29 from HKG. I was sitting at doors 4 on the left hand side, just aft of the wing.
I commented to my manager next to me at the amount of spotters at the field off Myrtle Avenue. 🙂
Glad I managed to get in one of the pics. 🙂

Thanks to all those of you who uploaded your videos on Youtube! 🙂
Was great to see Simon Lowes HD vid of us landing!
I was sitting in the flightdeck on our ferry flight up from LHR. I was behind the F/O in the S/Os seat and had a good view of all the people who turned upto see us land. I managed a wave to the people on the right side of the runway.

I did record the take-off from LHR and the landing and taxi in at MAN, but for company reasons, i sadly can’t post it on the net. 🙁

Once on stand we felt like celebs. Everyone from check-in staff, customs, police and catering came on to see our aircraft.
Was also good to see we had the capabilty to cause traffic jams on the back road from T3 to the Airport pub hotel, with everyone stopping and taking pics of us when they realised we weren’t a Flybe Dash 8! 😀

Flight is rostered to leave LHR at 5.50. 30 min flight time. So due to arrive between 6.30-7pm. 🙂
For all the spotters at MAN, i’ll wave to you when i land! 😀

I can totally understand that. On one of my flight with QF, someone managed to get upto the rear crewrest on the 744. Thankfully someone was awake to swiftly send them in the right direction.
Anythin can be better than the crewrest on the 747. Earplugs or an iPod r a MUST be you go up.

Yeh, no doubt. It’d look good parked at the gate, if the FI and Conti 757s were in with their winglets. 🙂

Good show Rab. I like the John Lennon 757. Normally I see it on the remotes when I pass going to work. Often with something in front of it!
Don’t suppose you know when to expect it moving ? I mean, I can’t come down and hang around in CASE it moves (that work pallaver gets in the way).
Pity it is peeling a bit around Johnny boy’s napper.

JM usually gets used from Fri-Sun, it usually replaces a 738 on either TFS, LPA, ACE or AGP.
Until then, she can be found on 38 n 39 parked next to her big sister, G-CEOD, until she goes out to SFB at weekends.

False warning light in the flightdeck showing a fire in the hold. Still sitting in GLA just now waiting for a part and engineer to be flown from LHR.
No ETD as yet.
