I’ve a few puny grouders now on Anet…
heres a random sampling from this past May’s Chino airshow.sorry for being tardy.i just started to play with them.I sure love the Northrup N9m flying wing .truely an original shape! Tim
Would be nice to see some pics, as I was there………briefly!
It was the first day of our holidays, and we went from good old British weather, straight into a rather warm field under the baking California sun.
Up towards 95 deg if I recall?
Typical tourists, we had no hats, just the obligatory shorts.
Managed a few ground shots on the tram from the car park (cow field), but had to leave before the show got going, and take refuge back in our air con Caddy.
Shame, by all accounts it was a cracking display.. 🙁
Used in 633 Squadron / Mosquito Squadron?
Very nice picture, can’t believe it’s nine years – almost to the day – since such a sight has been possible… 🙁
Pic was actually taken by my Dad, at the Farnborough Airshow 1961. Lined up in the background are the sixteen Hawker Hunters of the Blue Diamonds, and nine English Electric Lightnings of The Tigers. These RAF display teams preceded the Red Arrows.
Flying here…..
I can 😀
PM received……will post to you tomorrow… 😀
il be there tomorrow, i originally planned to go sunday, but the wait is driving me mad 🙂
I’ve postponed until Sunday because of the weather. Good pics need sunshine… 🙂
Narrows it down to a couple of hundred or so.
But shall I wear a Airliners net shirt…..or my SNJ one….decisions decisions. 😉
Should be easy to identify then. 🙂
I’ve decided to follow Moggy’s policy for a change; leave the camera at home and watch the display. I have a nasty suspicion I’ll miss a lot of the show wondering where I’ve put the camera down.
Your going naked… 😮
What will you do with your hands?
Worry not, I’ll be at hand with my camera should you start to panic.
I’m easy to spot…I’ll be carrying a Canon with a 100-400 on.. 😀 😀 😀
John,
It looks as if you were very close to where I was, as you have a lot of very simular shots to me. Thanks for posting.
I spent the entire display leaning on the gate where the vintage vehicles enter/leave.
I was wearing the ‘I Flew the 600hp SNJ’ Tee shirt…..sad Eh?.. 😀
Not sure what went on with the stearman pic…
I still get my share of blurred and out of focus, and I use a Canon 100-400L IS.
I do get more keepers than with a non IS lens, and got even better results since switching to centre point only focus.
For shots in the air, I always set exposure compensation +2/3 too.
It brings out the aircraft better against a bright sky
regards
Have you set the 300D to centre point focus only?
Thank for all the comments guys.. 😀
Will try and do better next show.. 😉
yep, the A O NN pic is superb, it’s THE panning 🙂
