All of my articles!!!!!!!! (P-38 in the July 92 issue, Tigercat type report in 1994.) No seriously, that’s too biased to say that….My friend Alan Crouchman has done some awesome groundbreaking work over the years, including finding the identity of the French B-26 Marauder back in 1990. Any of his articles are usually very good…..However asking what article is my favorite is like asking what is my favorite song or favorite beautiful woman……impossible to say. As for my F7F type report, I was most disappointed to see another F7F type report about two years ago, that was so poorly written, and so outdated, it didn’t even bother to include my 1994 updates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it’s time for me to get back to writing again with work going on this poor!!!!!!!!

He probably means that you are kidding that you don’t know who Art is….but it would be easy not to know, this was 18 years ago.

Both 109’s displayed by the Auto and Technik Museum at its’ Speyer and Sinsheim museums have swastikas. I was just at the one in Speyer July 6th, and four years ago was at the one in Sinsheim. I just checked the photo of the one in Sinsheim to be sure it has the symbol. Aviation wise, apparently the swastika ban is only on flying airplanes, not static displays in museums.

Without appearing insensitive, A crash is what occurred and a crash is what is going to be shown on the news. A picture is worth a thousand words, and so this is what they are going to show. I would rather see the footage, so that I can understand what happened. I do not want anything censored. If I don’t want to watch something then I turn it off. And this is what I do with our local news here in LA every night. Why should I have my day ruined by hearing about every violent act you can imagine? The crash is upsetting, but I’ve seen enough at this point and have been to enough funerals, and read enough accident reports (plus sadly written enough obituaries) to know what I am getting into.

On my birthday of April 19 2002, I awoke to the sound of a P-51 Mustang flying over my house. It was unmistakable the sound and to me what joy to wake up to the sound of one of my favorite airplanes….on my B-day!!! Nice present to start the day!!!!! The aircraft could only have been from Chino which is some thirty miles directly east of Whittier where I live….and it undoubtedly was going to the Pt Mugu Airshow which was held that weekend….I still haven’t tried to figure out who’s it was.
