Agree with the tornado shot, I like the Alpha Jet too.

Agree about the first shot. The last time I saw a DC-6 was when one flew over my place of work last year.

Nice photos.
Ain’t it funny that the photo with the most views is of Libby the blonde Utterly Butterly girl. 😀

Are you going to publish the tear-jerking story of how you commentated in the face of adversity, or is that down to me?
Ah yeah, I’d forgot about that.
Just as Peter Eager was about to hand me the mike I had an itchy eye lid so I gave it a rub to get rid of the itch. A few minutes earlier I had applied sun cream, the result, sun cream in the eye and eyes running and stinging just in time to be given the mike to start my commentary. So I spent the ten minute
in great discomfort and tears rolling down my face. 😮
No jokes about boring others to tears too please 😀

Typhoon did appear on the Saturday and did three passes only and not a full display.
The pilot was Anthony Parkinson and not Matt Elliott the designated display pilot.

Nice photos Anna & 92fis.
I was at Shoreham, you probably heard me, always a great show at Shoreham. In my view the best displays were The Matadors, Chinook, Guy Wesgate in the glider and the Aerostars on Saturday( didn’t see aerostars on sunday)
I too met Janie and Mark V, I think I spooked Janie at first on saturday night. I’m sure she’ll say why.
Today I also Met Dame Vera Lynn too.

Fanflippintastic photos.

It might appear more expensive, but if you are counting the few pounds, you can’t afford to Fly!
I am learning on a 152. Now I’m not mega rich and I’m on a budget, I can just afford to fly but I wouldn’t be able to afford it if learning on a PA-28.
What I save by learning on the 152 is the money that I then use for equipment, books, exams etc.
Here’s the 152 I prefer to fly.

There is one more event in October About 28th off the top of my head..
Hopefully get to that one.

Good stuff John C.
I have just started again. I’ve not flown for a couple of months for a number of reasons that I won’t bore you with. I flew last Saturday and I’m flying again this Saturday.
Which type are you training on with Almat, Cessna or PA-28?
Don’t forget to keep us updated.
Neal
Damn it, I’m busy on that day. I went to Turweston many times a couple of years ago.
Are there any more later in the year?
Hope the event is a success and a good day is had by all.
