I was hoping to wake up this morning to find this had all been a horrible dream, but sadly not.
    Still shaken, shocked and numb.

I will raise a glass tonight and look to the skies at 8pm.

    For Steve.

I know it’s still too close to think of anything but sadness, but when the time comes to think of a fitting tribute please count me in.

0ne glass raised, with a tear in the eye.

From now on, each time I see a Chippie I know who I shall think of.

    Still can’t believe it.

I am totally lost for words. 🙁

My thoughts are with all his family and friends.

I never met him but spoke to him on here and through PM’s many times.

    RIP Steve

I won’t be there this year but I wish I was going, can’t get accomodation. Had a good time there last year.

You never know, if the weathers any good I may go for one day.

The Claremont pier has no public access beyond the amusement arcade anyway as the wooden floor is in poor condition( unless its been restored).

The museum is open plus they usually pull out some of the museums aircraft out onto the airfield. There isn’t usually much more brought in for static display but you do get a good view of the flying aircraft parked up on the flight line.

    Very badly organised display.

Its pi**** down every time I’ve been

I’ve only been once and that was last year and it was a scorcher of a day.

Is it the flying display itself that you think is badly organised? The display director is very experienced and has run many airshows.

Nice photos and good to see different aeroplanes, really like the HA-200 and also the formation photos.

    Nice pics.

I went to a race at Leicester a few years ago, quite impressive to see all the aircraft approaching the finish line together.

Nice shots BB, I would of loved to see the Edwardians last night but I had to leave early. Whilst driving home though, as I was passing through Upper Caldecote ,I did get buzzed the the Spitfire and Hurricane in formation.

Strange request, and yes, I know its not historic. Did anyone get a shot of the Cessna 152 (i think) or remember its registration? It was parked up on the end of the flight line.
