Ah yes. I remember seeing your arrival.
I was in a Piper Arrow, G-BAIH, in formation with the Extra.
Neal
Yak 11 Fan, maybe see you around at another show.
Which aircraft did you fly over in?
Neal
Neal H – you were commentating on Denny’s display weren’t you?
Yep, that was me wandering around on top of the club house during Denny’s and Peter Metcalfe’s displays.
Neal
as – Neil h – the Vampire arrived at 13:51 on Friday (assuming the clock on my camera is set right that is! 😀 )
Yeah, that sounds about right, it was a rough guess when I said 2pm.
It flew over again today in the opposite direction.

My first time at Old Buckenham, great place, great show.
Yep, you did see Mrs Damien B there.
I saw Martin Shaw and was going to speak to him but I bottled it as I’m a fan of his and was scared of making a fool of myself.
I took my camera but didn’t take any photos, just enjoyed the day, the atmosphere and the weather.
Neal
What time did the vampire arrive? A Vampire flew over my place of work in Leics about 2pm yesterday afternoon. I wondered if it was on its way to Waddington.
Neal
these types of Stunts would never fly here in the States or in the UK.
Wasn’t a female aerobatic pilot killed recently in the states doing an inverted ribbon cut, at night?
Neal
I got a little worried when I saw the phrase Golden Shower.
Neal
I may be going but I am going to Stoughton(LEICS) first to discuss my PPL.
Neal
Spot on.
Neal
No. 3 looks a little chilly.
Neal
I’m also planning to start soon. Hopefully in a month or two, probably at Leicester.
Neal
I’m going to Old Buckenham this year for the first time. Should be good.

The traffic management off the A41 onto the road down to cosford is normally controlled by the police and the traffic lights switched off. This year however there seemed to be civillian (if thats the right word) traffic control personnel and temp traffic lights. Don’t know if this has anything to do with the problems, especially the hassle on the M54.

I don’t mind music at shows, it can add to the atmosphere but it was far too loud.
A couple of years or so ago the speakers were positioned behind the crowd line but couldn’t really be heard because of a strong on crowd wind. One speaker pole was blown over and finished not too far from our car.
