It was my first waddington show and I thought it was good even though I got to see most of the show from between Nos.2 & 3 Hangers. I did enjoy watching the Hunter display from the commentary position on both days. The Spanish F-18 display was great, believe it or not, thats the first time I’ve seen one display.
Denny’s display was good and I enjoyed the Jordanians. The Reds started to bore me after the first hour.

All in all, a good weekend.

Its an Isaacs Fury and will be flown into Waddington by Pete Metcalfe, owner and display pilot of Denny’s former Pitts G-BIRD.

Moggy, good shot of the Gemini, first time I’ve seen it display. Lovely aircraft.

Yep, I agree too. I love the smaller shows. The children in need day at Little Gransden being a good example.

While we’re here, Does anyone remember a series of small airshows that were held at Weston Park in Staffordshire during the eighties. The show was mainly Barnstorming and so on but I also remember Sally B appearing, Spitfies and Hurricanes, Red Arrows, Harrier and the Marlboro aerobatic team.
    Does anyone else remember these.;)

That shot of the Spitfire is fantastic. It reminds me of the footage of the HAC Spitfire V flying against a simillar backdrop at Music in the Air on the British Airshows 2001 video.

Abingdon for me. Arriving in a PA 28 ArrowII which may also be taking part in the flying display. A PA 28 in a flying display, yes, but not flown in a way that you normally see a PA 28 fly.
    See you all there.

I heard a rumour this weekend that Cosford want a Concorde for the museum now that they are to be retired. Hope they get one.

Coanda- you say you have done most of your flying from Cosford. What in, Gliders, Bulldogs etc.

Your quote about damage due to public access is certainly true.
Also at Cosford is a Cockpit section of a Vulcan which over the years has had many items stolen, switches, dials etc.
