4:00 pm – Mooneys (approx 50)

Oshkosh is good… but it’s not perfect!
I met a really lovely English girl there in 2005 (I’ve got her card somewhere). She helps to run the museum. Do any of you know her?
Think I probably know her… that description seems an awful lot like my wife ! (Janet)
Janie, here’s a link to the annual factsheet
Janie – – how will you recognise me? I drive round the event in the colours of my beloved Burnley Football Club…

One of the most amazing things about Oshkosh is the cleanliness of the grounds, the lack litter – – flightline or elsewhere.
No ticket is required on the Saturday before the event, and a wristband purchased on Sunday will also be good for Monday. You shouldn’t have a problem getting good access and photos.
Finally, we just launched a new video player today on the AirVenture website linked from the homepage of http://www.airventure.org – – for those that are attending the event you can whet your appetite with some preview clips and last year’s video archive. For those not attending the event, we are making a big effort this year to put video up on the website – – 5 or more clips per day will go up on the site, so stay in touch.

Some great advice on this thread. I work for EAA, so please PM me if there’s anything else you’d like to know.
EAA’s B-17 is doing flights from Janesville in southern Wisconsin on July 20-22 if you’re looking to have some fun on the weekend before the fly-in. That being said, the traffic arrivals at Oshkosh will be heaviest on Saturday 21 / Sunday 22.
Don’t forget to sign in at the International Visitors’ tent, and I’ll see everyone at the International Party!
The Blue Max is one of 10 films shortlisted in an online vote for the World’s Greatest Aviation Movie…
Looks like one of East Fortune’s hangars in the background, along with a Nanchang CJ-6?
Yes on both counts 🙂
You can perform a detailed inspection of Kermit’s Mossie, and many of the other planes in the EAA Museum at Oshkosh, using the Museum’s controllable webcam.

I’m told he has literally tons of spares
I don’t know if clipped wing Cubs are allowed in the UK but a friend and I bought one 6 months ago and it is wonderful… all the advantages of a normal Cub, no disadvantages, and add at least 50% to the fun factor. http://www.clippedcub.com
The Wedding Present – It’s a Gas

Aluminum Overcast is doing flights in Billings on Tuesday & Wednesday. You can also take a ground tour. Call 1-800-FLY-NB17 to book a seat or visit http://www.b17.org for more details!
