Fear of heights
Hey, I’ve always been scared of heights.
However it doesn’t bother me when flying aircraft.
Upside down, very high, very fast and very low.
Strange huh? …and I’m still scared of heights.
🙁
Peter, check your PM’s.
🙂
Ahhh… a glorious sight.
Glad you enjoy them Lancman.
Peter, please feel free to use these on your website if of any use.
and for a different paint scheme…
and of course a Spitfire.
and another of the Lancaster.
A spitty with these initials?
If only my great uncles name wasn’t Trevor Indiana Tyson, then he may have smiled to see his initials on the side of a Spitfire.. :p
That’s the one…
From memory (somewhat faded) it may have indeed been Ray Hanna replicating that moment from the movie.
and a friendly wave.
Always a crowd pleaser.
Mustangs at Wanaka 1996
Here’s a picture of the two NZ Mustangs operating back in ’96. ‘Miss Torque’ was resident at Wanaka, whilst the other is painted in No 3 Squadron clours, and is based at Ardmore.
I will try and get some airborne shots at next years Wanaka airshow (if they let me).
Check your box

Why Double One,
They don’t have this book, but many other good reference books for your subject matter.

CC,
Sorry mate, I cannot help you with the museum you are seeking.
However the Air Force museum is located in Wigram on the outskirts of Christchurch (South Island). http://www.afw.co.nz
There is also a smaller airforce museum located next to RNZAF Base Ohakea (near Bulls – North Island). http://www.afw.co.nz/index.cfm/Ohakea
The Army museum is located at Waiouru Army camp in the middle of the deserted area of the North Island. http://www.armymuseum.co.nz
All of these are worth a visit if you are Down Under.
Cheers, MJ
Daz, I have a few that you can use, as long as you don’t mind printing my website on them for reference. Sample is provided (from NZ).
Cheers, Mike.
