Oh dear. I didn’t mean for this to happen.
Help Janie !!
fLOG book currency.
Nope. What type do you wear whilst flying?
Has it changed since your days of student flying?
Do they come with brown stripes, or do you add your own during zoomy takeoffs?
Do airline pilots wear more expensive types?
Have you ever used them to clean your windscreen, replace your pitot cover, or to wipe the oil from the dipstick?
Have your silk ones got escape maps marked on them? Radio calls perhaps…

I had to laugh heartily at one TV viewers comments….
“What’s with this 3D weather? If real weather was in 3D it would make more sense.”

And in the first photo the guys are seen donning their third epaulette.
“Hey look – McClusky only has enough room for one stripe !!”
Apologies to anybody called McClusky who may have insecurity issues…
A wing stall does not necessarily mean a spin. But yes, to enter a spin, the stalling is a necessary component. Not quite ‘chicken or the egg’ stuff…
I’ve had bucketloads of wingstalls in air to air combat manouevring, in all attitudes, load factors and control deflections, and never once has it turned into a spin. Of course it is possible, just not mandatory.
Thongs are worn in some parts of Australia. I don’t know what you call them in the UK.
Sandshoes are nice for most light aircraft, to get the best feel from the rudders and brakes.
For jets and the like then only boots are worn. It helps with the extreme cold, rudders are hardly moved, and it’s better protection for your pink piglets on ejection. They also help protect your ankles when rolling after contacting the ground.
A certain Kiwi ejected from an Aussie PC-9 some years back, and I believe that he was wearing standard leather dress shoes (normally worn with Blues). His ankles got hurt during his ‘landing’.
Alex, that sounds like interesting stuff, and I look forward to hearing more about it. Especially in relation to this footage. Thanks, Mike.
A simple wing drop does not mean a spin. You can easily catch it before it develops.
I might ask someone to query the pilot. He could shed better light on this.
doesnt reduce throttle while climbing
Who reduces the throttle whilst climbing through the vertical?
He knew about half way into the second roll, judging by his control inputs and the size of his eyes.
Departed? I don’t know, it’s difficult to tell.
Personally I can’t see it from the video.
In my experience, neither the fuel burn nor capacity is altered by the wearing of high heels. In fact, sometimes it can get your further, but for entirely different reasons.
Janie, if you were present I’m sure that Damien would never have been so crass.
