It is particularly unreasonable when you, by your own selfish actions, deprive others of their very existence.
I think we will have to agree to differ in our own opinions here Kev I fear we will never see eye to eye on this one.
And it is not a selfish action it is my own choice put quite simply. And I do not deprive anyone of their existence. That is their Gods choice alone should they have one. Or put bluntly that is natures choice and natures way for them.
Now if I were to take an organ transplant while not willing to give my own organs for donation then that would be depriving someone of their existence and a very selfish action. But I have chosen not to take a donation should the need arise. This will be my fate.
We dont always have to agree and we dont all have the same opinions thats what makes life exactly that life.
And I would never wish harm on any child or adult come to think of it I think everyone should have an equal right to live but that just isnt how life sets it up for us is it.
Have a good one.

Why – do you have the full story??
Hi Misha
No I dont have the full story but the fact that he was given the defective organs in the first case is a failing of sorts and the cancer was already in the organ or so we are lead to believe. We can only take this to be the truth unless other more knowledgable people tell us otherwise but then to turn round and say that he was a cancer patient and would not get another transplant because of policy is failing him.
I do agree that for every 1 death in the NHS hundreds of others are save and quality of life improved, extended and saved but in this one case he was failed.
And rather than actually dealing out criticism to the surgeons and nurses it is the system not the actual operating team I have criticism for.
I dont have all the answers and I dont know it all in fact I know very little medically but I do have my views and opinions and I call it as I see it.
We all can see that the NHS is under and emmense pressure due in part to the modern condition we all find ourselves in but I think sometimes we can make to many excuses for the blunders and mistakes that are made in sometimes simple circumstances.
The NHS is simply not what it used to be.
We all know that there should be as much money as the NHS needs to bring it up to the standards we would all like to see it at but back to reality it only gets just enough money to get by barely so mistakes are bound to be made.

Having watched children die for lack of organ availability I personally cannot have any respect for those who would see someone die rather than part with an organ that is no longer of any use to them. Whatever their reasoning.

Then Kev that is your choice and we live in a free country to a degree and my own opinions and choices are my own whatever my reasoning so please respect them.
I do not wish to donate my organs once I am gone through choice and because this is my chosen path I have chosen to give up any right to have an organ transplant should I ever need one.
I dont think it is unreasonable to have my own wishes respected.
And another thing who made you God to judge people on their own opinion or choices. What gives you the right?

Galdri,
I am sure you will find that although refined for air racing the aircraft they use are very capable of any aerobatic schedule you could throw at them.
I would suggest as others have it is the skill of the pilot and the use of the aircraft that determines the aircraft to be used.
I for example know of a Starduster Too pilot who does very graceful slow aerobatics far superior to any full aerobatic machine. So shall we say there are a lot of factors to consider.
Hi Loose-Head
No worries everyone is entitled to their own opinion I am glad there are people out there that will donate organs for whatever reason they have chosen.
My estranged wife was an organ donor but her organs ar now no good for transplant so she cant donate but the thought was there long ago. I respected her wishes and she respected mine in regard to donating although in the beginning she did try and get me to be a donor until one night we had a chat about the world and everything in it. She then saw my point of view and dropped trying to persuade me.
As I said I admire people who wish to donate and give other people the chance of life that I can not.
No problems here.

You make some very good points. But the NHS do deserve the critisim in this case. I am not saying for one minute that this always happens or that smokers lungs are always going to cause this but in this case the NHS failed this guy when (if) they said that he couldnt get a further set because he was a cancer patient. Well he wasnt until they gave it to him. Not clear cut at all.
And you point about Donor cards is very fair also. I do not carry a Donor card and neither will I ever. No more than I would accept a donor organ either. It is not something I personally believe in. Now giving kidneys to matches in your family is something again but I suppose we should keep on topic here and not decend into a donor slanging match.
They failed this guy one way or another but they failed him none the less.

If this is real then it makes me totally sick.
What do we pay all this money to the NHS for and why the bloody hell do these guys want to risk their lives for this bloody country.
I will always back our armed forces or at least the guys out there risking their lives for us whether I think the fight is a just one or not but this just beggars belief.
Also if they had given him a decent set in the first place he would not have been a cancer patient in the first case.
Totally sick!!!

Its all down to personal preference but the Blades use the Extra 300 aircraft or variation of.
But the leading edge in technology has got to be the Edge 540. This is what most of the Red Bull Air Race pilots use.
But Sukhoi or Yak aircraft have their plus points too. Pitts aircraft are more than capable to especially the Pitts python or stinker. Both muscle machines.
So it all comes down to what would you like to fly really.
What my mate said to me about feeling down and in the dumps about relationships and the world in general. This is what he said.
“Smile it confuses the B’stards”
Classic made me smile.
