All this talk of into-wind runways–Surely if the wind is 220,then BOTH runways are 40 degrees off it (18 and 26)! Assuming the numbers given were correct!

Just thought I’d mention—it used to be pot luck whether you got KLM or Northwest fron Schiphol(code share),don’t know if this still applies, after the KL/AF merge. Anybody?

If you booked the entire journey with KLM at the same time, you are through booked, and you will not see your baggage at Schiphol. It’s all taken care of.

I don’t know current equipment on these routes without checking. Try looking for your flight numbers on the BAA Heathrow arrivals/departure boards for today((on the net),should be same on YOUR day),and the same for the Schiphol site,if there is one!

Hmmm. A head-on shot, so we can’t really see the colour scheme. Not another Dulux Disaster, I hope.

It looks great from the front, the builder(s) must be very proud.

If you go to the link again, there are links to three other pictures, but don’t think they’re all the same aircraft.

    …….ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Wake me up when someone says something interesting.

(Well,my post is not any more boring than the previous ones!)l

This Boeing versus Airbus slanging match is obviously a replacement for the GLA/EDI battle, and makes this forum a bit tedious, and without this, would be enjoyable.

Corking! Think I saw that Jumbo fly in years back out of the office window. Thought it was flattened? Yeah I know – mix up.

Is that a chin-turret in the Guppy?

    Surely a weather radar housing?

I have a friend in the Borders police, and they are still very much involved with the G8,as are probably ALL forces in Scotland. All their leave has been cancelled over this period.

My devious mind led me to the Red Arrows show calendar site, because I wondered if perhaps they were the REAL reason for the cancellation of the EF show. They don’t show EF on their calendar, and makes me wonder if it was EVER there! You get my drift? If they couldn’t get the Arrows, then who would go to the show?(thinking general public here). If I am totally wrong, then I apologise, but I’m VERY suspicious!

I don’t think that would have much to do with Wales though, where the Dornier went!

They do a LOT of charters–a big money spinner. It obviously positioned into EDI (flight number ends in P!),so almost certainly out of the ordinary.

Incidentally, was it EDI or GLA? Possibly footie related?
