I did a search,and two sources show it as an MD87,although I couldn’t confirm it’s C/N or history. I would think it’s ex N-reg’d from the desert.

Think there is a bit of confusion here. The RDF is administered by the Scottish Executive, and the BAA are giving NO concessions, they’re still taking their full whack. Therefore the Scottish taxpayers are subsidising these new routes, and the BAA are just counting their money.
Did someone mention a level playing field? Explain why landing charges are so much LESS at Stansted than Edinburgh or Glasgow? And there’s no fund there.

Well, everyone knows that G8 was just ‘sprung’ on them! I’m sorry, but there is a complete lack of lateral thinking in my opinion.I’m not saying that G8 was known about at last year’s event, but it has been known about for some considerable time.
I am also concerned that the policy has shifted from the ideal of preserving aircraft for prosperity, and charge to let the public see them,to ‘we’ve got Concorde now,we can dispense with all these other aircraft, the public will come in droves, and pay more’
Just my thoughts, the fire proof suit is on!
Well, what the hell is wrong with moving the whole thing to ANOTHER weekend? Surely they weren’t THAT advanced with the arrangements? And Concorde’s not going anywhere!
as far as that pristine looking Northwest DC10 goes George, i think it’s living on borrowed time depending on how fast the A330’s are delivered
If that were the case,I don’t think it would have received the new livery. Probably a year or two yet!

Joe,think you;re too much of a perfectionist! The pics look fantastic to me,as always! The colours are wonderfully deep, and the shots always different ,interesting angles. Keep up the good work.

I don’t want to argue,but your title was —
‘first landing of the First 744 for Corsair at Orly’
Which plainly isn’t so,if the photo on my link was taken on March 5th!
You didn’t say ‘first landing of the First 744 IN FULL COLOURS for Corsair at Orly! OR ‘first landing of the First 744 to enter service with Corsair at Orly’
By the way,the other caption says,’first landing for THIS!! Corsair 744′
OK ,I’m now bored with this subject!
