Mk1, Airframe, wings are now glued in postion, ive cut the tail planes off so they can be postioned lowered. Next stage will be sanding down any seams and making the whole thing look like a plane 🙂
MkXVI cockpit built up, ive added a Aires seat, few bits of piping. Also put an extra frame at the back of the seat frame/armor, just adds alittle depth when looked at through the cockpit.

What I’ve tried to do is fit a brace across the lower forward section, this is to push the fuselage out slightly so to reduce the gap between the wing and fuselage, saves putting lots of filler in and losing surface detail. The wings arnt attached yet, just test fitted
For the MkXVI ive gone alittle different, the tail surface is very thick so instead of sanding it down to create a thinner surface ive cut the tail off Airfix’s old MkVIII kit, I think this kits is a re-boxing of a old japanise product. The tail surface on the MkVIII kit is much nicer. After comparing dimensions in a SAM publication 1:48 plan to get the correct length, I started work.
The Mk1/11 cockpit built up, Ive added some belts made out of Tamiya masking tape, but other than that its OOB
