It would be a great shame if she is to be scrapped, If wot the RAF crew said and its to leave waddo this year. Its a shame this may just be a rumour as i had my hopes a Spey F-4 may be coming to live not too far away from me:(

Okie doke:)

I was told by RAF aircrew while climbing in waddingtons F-4 that she will be going to Newark this year and is to be replaced there by a Hunter.

I didnt want to post strait up as i know the situtation with the British Phantoms and preservation.

If she dosent go to Newark then Bruntingthorpe are after her.

I’ve seen the lighting many times at its past home and cant quite believe how good it looks in these pictures. Well done to all involved.

in the programme thats just been on the BBC, when XH558 takes off i’m sure a saw the tail of a Victor in the background???

I wonder how the RAF would have faired if it had Got the K model, seen as we struggle to put any reasonable fast jet squadrons up now, imagine wot it would be like with the F-111 in the RAF:eek:

Tornadoes can’t go to sea. I think that had to play a part in the RAF’s reasoning.
