if there going to pull the tonkers early wot was the point of scrapping the Harriers, surely if the Tornado is becoming such a high maintanence airframe it would have been better to keep the Harriers?
i suppose it depends on the term “warm storage” cosford must be fairly crammed now then
Cranswick, PM’d
Then perhaps you could be more specific about what information you are seeking?
any more info other than the air britain books, possible location, pilots name, KAS?
seen as you’ve joined in do you have any info?
Air Britain has it with 56Sqn. Tail broke off in dive near Spalding, Lincs, 18/8/42. Very absorbent ground around there. Hope this helps.
Cheers mate, i have the air britain books so got that info already, thanks anyway
Thanks, not the one i’m looking for then:)
Is this correct for a hawker typhoon?
An “….extraordinary luxury liner”?
I take it you have never been on an aircraft carrier, then?
Have you read your PM’s?
A better bet would be to buy Hermes back off india, proper carrier, but then again i have been seen a few pigs with wings lately sporting a pair of 20mm’s
I think that the IWM and MOD own the best of spey phantoms, any chance of these running again would be zero, my thoughts would have to be a privately owned example and they a few and far between for the moment
Excellent build my friend, Excellent!
replyed mate
I think i’ll give YAM a ring or pop down, I’d like to get involved in some kind of British F-4 preservation
Do you know any thing of the Leemiing F-4? is she still there? any future plans, last heard YAM were trying to get her
Dont think it was near a resivour, was very near the coast
