Two Mustangs……….
puzzle……
next aircraft for Mendig: we disassembled an Aero L-29 trainer at Koblenz-Winningen airfield – more or less scrap at the moment >>> but hopefully with some help one day a proper exhibit again 😀
It puzzles me where this L-29 is going/staying: As RA01611 it is also mentioned at the thread about St.Athan, where a new L-29 demoteam is forming.. Are there two Tiger coloured L-29 in Europe, part of an identical twin ?
Who can shed a light?

RIP
What a coincidence: while on holiday in S.Africa, I obtained Lord’s book
from Fledgling to Eagle on the SA Border war. This is a must read on this remarkable man and pilot!
May he rest in peace!

That has puzzled me too…
I don’t know the answer either…
Thank you all for replying to my thread!
Keep up the good work!

Airborne museum
A tribute to the heroes of D-day…This former Aeronavale C-47 rests in the Airborne museum of the famous village of Saint Mere Eglise in France Coded D8-Z c/n 19288 Former danish AF C47, 42-100825 became OY-DDA,Sven Viking , N9984F,N50V, F-YFGN now displayed at Musée des Troupes Aéroportées Sainte-Mère l’Église in false serial “315159”
And, I agree, the 360 degrees museum at Arromanches is very impressive!
Enjoy them …

Thanks Stringbag and Redvanner,
it answers my question as to where from, but not about the a/c identity.
That is still a mystery to me:confused:

Identity….?
Guys,
Am I the only person to keep wondering which airframe the first Sea Fury FB11 (in the truck) would be? In older threads of this forum an unknown SF is mentioned, stored at La Ferte. It belonged to the late mr. Dague, and seemed to have gone to the Salis family.
Seeing the father Jean Salis and his son Baptiste visiting Bremgarten, tempts me to put two and two together:rolleyes:
In any case: is there anybody out there that knows about this SF?
Gert Jan Mentink / Aerovet
Congratulations/ Gratuliere……….
Matthias,
may I be the first to congratulate you on these fascinating projects?
Many times rumoured but now found to be true: Sea Furies back in Germany!
(When was it that I saw them at Kolln-Bonn? I’m getting old 😎 )
Can’t wait to see them………………………

Is VZ345 still present at DUX? Or is it gone somewhere more to the East
