You sure you aren’t getting confused with the new centaurus they have just purchased for holland?

Am I missing something? I thought VH-ISS was going to Vormezeele in Belgium…… The only Sea Fury left in Holland is the static ‘6-43’ at the MLM of Soesterberg..
Or is someone buying me a true Christmas present 😉

1.69 million dollars sounds expensive for a Mustang construction kit.
Airfix used to be a lot cheaper :diablo:

Thanks Matthias for updating us, and

“Hals und Beinbruch” with the project !!

    D-FDME you mean?

Sorry, but the aircraft has been re-registered many moons ago…
    It now flies as D-FDME………..

    Typhoons !!!

Diving deeper into the matter, the Dutch book “En nooit was het stil” edited by the Hist Section of the R.Neth AF, gives the clue.

The attack on 26/11/44 was performed by Typhoons of No 146 Wing, led by Group Capt Gillam, followed by those of No263 sq.

    Attack on the Euterpestraat

for those interested: the headquarters of the Gestapo in Amsterdam were in the Euterpestraat (nowadays named Gerrit van de Veenstraat, after a Dutch resistance hero)

I would definitely go to Yeovilton: where in the UK can one see an Albacore, two Fireflies, a Fulmar and a British Corsair?
(and although not WW II, the unique Wyvern is a treat too:)
    Highly recommended !!

    PH-TEF….

I would also go for PH-TEF: just visible below the cockpit window is the first part of the name: It seems to me that it reads ‘Frans’ the rest of the name of famous Dutch painter ‘Frans Hals’ is probably hidden behind the door…

The photo is a nice find..! If there are other interesting ones: please keep them coming. Thanks for posting!

Great… but personally, I would fit it with a Centaurus and call it: Sea Fury :dev2:
    But thanks for the link!

You will note that more than 41 airframes are listed. It is likely that some unidentified airframes are already listed.

The five Avioane and the Yakovlev new built aircraft are not included.

With the exception of D-FJII, the Yaks now Flying in Germany were built in the nineties by yakovlev and by Strega in Orianenburg.

    Willy Belgian Boy………

I hope you can find someting interesting in here!
