The same procedure was used on the Flybe Dash 8 I flew on during take of at Exeter, Jersey and Guernsey. I’ve also seen it happen from Bristol so it’s obviosly used everywhere.
Is this how all Dash 8s take off, or is it just on Flybe Dash 8s?
Surely it would take-off fine (on longer runways) without doing this and save fuel and also cause less airframe stress…??
This way of take-off has to be more fun though, maybe Flybe are copensating for the lack of inflight entertainment. :7
