As if the loss of a B-2 was bad enough; now we have lives lost. This is a bad year for the USAF. 🙁
Give prayers for the families they left behind, all right?
I though the cold war was, like, you know, OVER!? 😮
I know Russia wants to regain it’s tough-kid-on-the-block image, but this is cutting it a little too close, dontcha think?
J-10 Fighter

Ahem… sorry.
Anyway, you have to admit, the J-10 really is one hell of a beauty. It’s lines are just perfect.
Or better yet, paint a fewMig-29’s in black paint and call it the PAK FA.
Shhhh. You don’t want to give the russians ideas, now do you? :dev2:
Actually, it wouldn’t surprise me if they go the Stealth route and make up a plane; in this case, a navalized Raptor, with sixteen missiles and lasers.
Call it the F/A-24X Xenu. *facepalm*
Or better yet, paint a few Raptors in black paint and call it the PAK FA. :diablo:
Bring on the CGI I say. I’m a crack addict for shiny special effects.
I wonder if it will be sponsored by scientology?
“That Mig-29 has too many thetans”
The letter “T” was used to denote a ‘treugol’noe krylo’ – triangular or delta wing.
Since the PAK FA’s in-house designation is currently T-50, that means without a doubt that the PAK FA is a delta or tailed delta aircraft. Narrowing down the possibilities of what it may end up looking like. THUS increasing the chances that it will turn out something like the Saturn image (yes, I know I am obsessed with that pic.)
Unless there’s some misinformation going on…
/idiot moment
EDIT: Since I’m just full of questions, I’m gonna veer off topic and ask: The Mig-21 is technically a “tailed delta” as well as the saturn image. What’s the difference between a tailed delta wing and a standard swept wing, really? When you look at them, they don’t look all that different…
Guh, what an ugly plane. But a good kind of ugly, like the A-10, ya?

Speaking of which, where DID they come up with the Su-47’s designation? I sure skipped a lot of numbers there…
Oh ho, with a missile THIS big, I don’t need maneuverability. It lets me deliver my infrared-guided payload right into the enemy’s exhaust pipe. 😉
Thats why my official designation is the “Su-45 Ron Jeremy”
Here’s a thought…
I wonder what official designation the PAK FA will receive when it goes into RuAF service? Some have called it the “Su-50” or “Su-51” as a play off it’s current T-50 designation, but I suppose it could end up being called the Su-37. They already “reused” the “old” Su-35 designation for their new Su-35BM, and the former Su-37 terminator sure as hell isn’t going into service, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they reuse it for their new jet. I could just imagine the ensuing ****storm in Ace Combat fandom circles… 😮
Or since Sukhoi is now part of “United Aircraft Corporation”, it could recieve a whole new designator, like UAC-1 or in it’s native russian, OAK-1, which kinda sounds cool. :diablo:
Your thoughts?
You are not fit to comment in this thread, unless you have canards or wing fences.
Do you?? Do you?
As a matter of fact I DO! I had surgery to give me some; really helps me get the ladies.
Good god, you people are still going at it after eight pages!?
