Maybe this helps somewhat…

ugh… why the paint is splotched here and there in the wing ? poor workmanship ? or they hand painting tamiya acrylic on tejas ? or the metal corroded so quckly ?
They are adhesive tapes containing very very small sensors. The advantage of these sensors are that they can be easily put on structures made of composite as drilling holes through them damages the composite [which can be done in metal surfaces].They also dont produce any aerodynamic hindrance.
So does under fuselage pylon fit to 725L drop tank only? Is that reason they have to create more a tank-type instead of use the similar-volume 800L tank?
Its because of ground clearance issues.
Black is 1200 L , Red 800 L.
@ ray, 9M317ME.
I see.
BTW does anyone have [or point me to one] a picture of a Klub being fired from a ship?
cheers.
We have not yet seen MiG-29Ks with Kh-31A & P or combination of 31 & 35. That does not mean they are not certified. Same might be the case with Tejas centreline hardpoint. May have finished certification…but no pictures
Infact I havent seen any pylon even.
I can’t seem to find any pictures of Tejas flying with centreline load. Does anybody have any idea where they can be found ?
The centreline hardpoint can only carry LGB ..but I dont think the hardpoint has been qualified yet.
Indian Coastguard orders twelve 8000TD hovercraft
Vince Cable, UK Business Secretary, made the announcement that Griffon Hoverwork has won the £34million contract to supply the Indian Coastguard with twelve 8000TD hovercraft. Speaking from Delhi, where he is part of Prime Minister David Cameron’s party, Mr Cable stated that “this contract is a very significant step for this Southampton-based firm. Patrolling a coastline as long as that of India is a huge challenge and I am delighted that a UK firm has been selected to help the Indian coastguard in this task. I wish the company every success in their future, and hope this partnership leads on to further cooperation.”
This contract is the largest order ever for UK hovercraft and provides some 3 years of work for the company, including extensive training both in the UK and India, where their product support distributorMSC Mumbai will deliver a full spares/maintenance programme.
btw anyone? Austin?
Is that a Klub or 9M317ME that is being fired?
IAI signs $1.1b arms deal with India
I hope that includes some Heron TP/Eitan!
Anyone seen this before?
Seems perfect size for what the IN needs.
I meant it doesnt look 40000 + tons.Although lot of steel yet to be put in there.
As for being “perfect” size I think IN needs a larger vessel with catapults to fulfill its maritime ambitions.
IAC 2 is supposed to be around 65000+ tons…thats more like what I want.
Is that a Klub or 9M317ME that is being fired?

For comparison…there are lines of similarity though..

Bla bla bla …is it time yet?
Does it seem a bit on the smallish side?
I think 2013 is very optimistic according to Indian shipbuilding standards.
