I imagine the sight of one of these up in the air would have been right up there with the vulcan
This would never happen surely, even non aviation people can see the iportance of the BBMF
Would love to have seen the four ship
Are these aircraft inside for good now, or is this just a temporary thing?
Nice pics
I was very disapointed with the flying display. I went for the departures day today and got to see the F16’s, Eagles, VC10, Phantom, Tornado. Nice noisy aircraft that are a joy to watch take of. Why don’t they display these guys at the actual air show instead of sticking them in the static display.

Same story yet again from the BBC website yesterday morning, dig deep into the pockets
I see it says that she is departing Waddington prior to the display. Is this where she is based at the moment? Is she not returning to Bruntingthorpe
Is the one on top of the building still there, looks in rough condition in the yellow paint
Is this aircraft still around?
I’m not knocking it but it was originally expected to fly in time for the falklands flypast in july, then they said it would be waddington. The time to first flight has allegedly been “a couple of weeks” for about 4 months now.
I remember reading somewhere ages ago that someone was restoring a bucaneer to flight, possibly at Scampton. Is this true or am I dreaming again?
How did XM603 get in such a state that she is going to be broken up when her engines were run as recently as 2002. I always thought she was supposed to be well maintained?
Are there any plans to get this aircraft back in the air? I assume its in good nick since its kept inside and it already ground runs.
I’d rather see a Vulcan than a Lanc any day
