Sorry Jack,
“When at a large airport no access so its thru the fence, but I carry a note of Section 43/44 Terrorism Act 2000, which states ” There are no legal restrictions on photography in a public place, and no presumption of privacy for individuals in a public place”.
I can find no reference to what you state, in sections 43/44 of the Terrorism Act 2000 (post 18) and sections 44 to 47 have been repealed. Can you clarify?
Sunday 10th June – 5 Gyro-copters flying West, in formation, over North Bedfordshire at around 11am.
Westland Lysander over Oakley, Bedfordshire yesterday morning.
Wow! Nice to see the US8AF 92nd BG(H) wall, (transported to Duxford from its original home in Podington, Bedfordshire), in the background of the last photo in post #208 (T9’s in H3). A shame that it’s not more prominently displayed in the American Museum, where it should rightfully be.
Very sad to hear about the Hurricane and pilot.
Sweet.
The initials on the logbook – D.R.S. a bit too much of a coincidence for the surname to read ‘Baden’, when you consider ‘Douglas Robert Steuart Bader’

There was also a small book about the history Tempsford Airfield, written by a local author. I doubt it’s still available unfortunately.
A few Photos of ‘The Barn’ at Gibraltar Farm on RAF Tempsford, where the Agents were kitted out before climbing aboard the aircraft. Taken by myself a number of years ago.
Has anyone mentioned Lancasters yet?
My error, it was the 305th BG at Chelveston that had only one B17 return home from this raid, not the 92nd.
If I remember correctly, didn’t only one B17 of the 92nd BG at Podington, make it home from this raid?
Thanks for the explanation. I’d been away and missed that.
