Apparently they had help from a Brit businessman who thought I am going to die anyway so don’t sit here, do something”. Also an anonymous French national helped out!

Tony T,
100% behind you on this.
Kos is another example. So called immigrants pass into Turkey (safe haven!) then expect the Greek government in Kos to welcome them and allow direct passage to the UK. This is not how the international law stands but I can understand the migrants wishes.
As usual; beware what you wish for!

Absolutely timeless and to the point Video.
Are there any further updates to this debacle? Hopefully their shares are plummeting through the floor.
Even made the Sunday Times finance page. Corporate lawyers should s***t.!!!!!!!!!
A very tragic weekend for general/historic aviation. Let us be thankful that Dan Griffiths (Spitfire)is alive and will hopefully fly again. As has been said, metal can be re-bent. RIP & blue sky’s to you all, my heart goes out to all your friends and families at this very sad time.

Gatwick 1967
Arhh! Nostalgia is not what it was! Somewhere I have my brownie box photos of that Russian helicopter (MN 10?) through the wire.
Thanks for bring back such fond memories. This ensured I remembered my old 1954 Panther 600 sloper combi which ensured visits to Gatwick, Heathrow and of course Farnborough.
It appears that the damage to the batteries means Solar Impulse 2 will stay in Hawaii untill April 2016.
Soul destroying for the team, but allows time to ensure better battery management can be found.
Till next year then!
As many of us know, incorrect charging of modern rechargable batteries leads to damage and reduced capacity memory. Solar Impulse 2 looks to be delayed for at least a fortnight whilst repairs are effected. http://www.solarimpulse.com/leg-8-from-Nagoya-to-Hawaii
