One bomb dropped on one tank in Syria is £150,000

    One Lancaster.

    Priceless.

    No.

That is your sour grapes because you didn’t manage to pedal down to Duxford fast enough.

On the day the conditions were right, so it was flown in.

    Get over it.

Clearly, you have little understanding of what is involved, including engineering, piloting and paperwork.

    trumper,

    Like nachjag…

Go find another hobby if you don’t ‘approve’ of the warbird movement.

    Frankly, you don’t belong here.

    Mr Nachtjag

If that’s your attitude to another airworthy Spitfire, then I suggest you go find another Forum

Spot on DCW. Quite an eye to visualise that. Well done.

Worth re posting in ten days time.

Airshows may not yet be dead, but civilian run shows are on Life Support.

Ignore the ‘Revised’ rules but the full Cost Increases applied by the CAA have yet to bite. A large show: £2000 to £20,000 ….!!

Seems Fairford is sold out as the enthusiasts have seen the Death Notice in Draft form!! (Although Military shows are run by the Military)

    Been fine for fifty years….!

The RAF seem so risk-averse it had better not go to war right now!

If that’s the case, then why allow any form of low level demonstrations at Farnborough at all? The template won’t allow many other shows, so why this one? Oh, UK PLC and £££.

Just watch – Fairford will be picking up this show in 2018. Ladbrokes, please take my large bet 🙂

Since Aerofab’s inane post this thread has dried up….

Don’t tell me nothing has moved at Dux all week…?

Or are Pen Pusher and DCW on pre-season holiday!

    I second that.

Note the Tiger has a huge fuel tank in the space that could be occupied by the ‘minder’…!! Eight hours endurance – impressive for a Tiger.

A Truly Solo effort, Good Luck Amanda.

Any sponsors out there willing to assist her will be gratefully received, am sure.

While I understand your frustration at not finding your choice of eatery upon the airfield, do you mind if I ask that you start another thread upon which to vent your spleen. Or, as suggested, aim it directly via email at the Museum. They will undoubtedly be swift to respond and assure you of improved service in the future.

This one is for those interested in aeroplanes, bits of aeroplanes and things that fly.

You could entitle it “The bad pub guide to duxford” or whatever you care to call it.

Never mind Thread Drift. Get My drift?
