Hypersonic,
Actually that Vulcan panel is a B.Mk.2 variety (note the MFS Nav’s Compass Repeater and Track Control Unit) though I do accept that the EWCUs are probably of the earlier pattern.
T’was just a suggestion.
A Happy New Year to all.
My immediate thought was that it is a counter used for the release of packages of “window” or chaff. Could it be the the counter type used on the Electronic Warfare control units shown (quite indistinctly) below Vulcan AEO’s panel:
Another nice picture!
The highest resolution that I have is 3372 x 2181. I also have some of the rest of that AP, especially the Auto Throttle parts. But it would be far to large to send in the post, PMs or as email attachments. I could do a file transfer but I’d need an email address to do a file transfer to.

Part of the Auto Throttle set up on the Vulcan B.Mk.2’s Auto Land system (and Victor B2 perhaps). I note that the serial number gives a clue that it was built in 1962.
email sent and a file transfer attempted.

Orcal, I have a digital copy of AP1982 dated 1945 as a pdf file but cannot attach it here and do not have an email address for you. Do you have an email address you could get to me somehow?
Apparently the main difference in RAF VC10s was that the K2 did not have a Fin fuel tank whilst the others did.

I wonder if it is indeed VC10, after all there were three marks of RAF VC10 and, I expect, a few civilian versions too!
This may be it; or may not, however it is similar-

Rapide G-ADAH has two engines of course, Gipsy Queen IIIs s/n 70857 and 71339, I believe.
Here are some early photos of G-EBZM showing the engine. (If they are of any interest).

Sorry for any confusion Mark. As I said :- “Not known to me personally but I understand;-“. I was quoting from the 1977 TAC Airframe & Engine list and the almost identical ‘1979 TAC Airframe & Engine list’. Those list one ADC Cirrus II (presumed c/n 892) and one ADC Cirrus “C” (not II or III but “C”) and noted as being in G-EBZM and Canadian built. True or otherwise I do not know.
I am afraid that I don’t have access to Hooton’s Avian at the moment, neither do I know how the cowling opens/comes off or if the museum would allow me to open it up anyway.
