I agree, Bush made it clear that whoever used them would be held accountable, also Saddam was smart enough to realize the whole world would have turned against him if he did, Well maybe not the French, but who really cares what they think anymore.
I’ve been in the Air Force for close to twenty years and we’ve always been briefed on Iraqui chems and possible nukes, this issue is old news, Hell the Israeli’s attacked his nuke plant back in 81, Soon we’ll find them or at least proof of their existance. I just hope he didn’t send them to Syria or wherever, undoubtably all the useless debating at the UN gave him plenty of lead time to hide/move them. Although I must admit I was surprised he didn’t use them when things were getting bad, maybe he was injured.

    FrankVW, Geforce,

FrankVW I majored in political science and am quite aware of the differences between socialism and communism, I think we have 2 different perspectives, understandable coming from 2 different countries, but remember Lenin said it himself socialism had to be obtained in order to reach a state of pure communism. Your “brand” of socialism in Europe may favor the workers, but it also taxes the hell out of them, and stiffles any incentive for entrepenureship and innovation. I know many Europeans who come here to the States who complain that the burdensome tax structure and accompanying bureacracy make it quite difficult to start your own business or thrive. I personally feel that is what is dragging Europe down, You can’t compete with the US and Asia because your costs are too high, due to your social programs, Hence your only viable markets are largely in the west/US. We have a similar issue trying to compete with third world manufactureres
Geforce, you say your a student of history, well read some, the Japaneses attacked pearl Harbor, largely because they felt the US didn’t have the stomach to fight, they were wrong, Osama Bin Laden has stated a few times that he noted whenever they attacked the US before Sept 11th (under Clinton) our usual responce was to lob a few cruise missiles at some target. He also has used our problems in Somalia and our subsequent pull-out as an example of America’s unwillingness to accept losses and deaths. He then concluded that we would not fight back, History is full of these examples. Bush was no war monger before Sept 11th, so obviously by playing nice with some people has no real effect. Today the Coalition is standing up to these tyrants, and they are taking notice, or on the run. We will find WMD, don’t be so naieve, or do you believe that Saddam never had them? except of course when he gassed the Kurds and the Iranians. Pretty soon his Generals will be singing like canaries!

    Geforce and Keltic

Take a few moments to re-read all the posts on this subject, Much doom and gloom, alot of wrong information and of course little military knowledge/assumptions. Geforce, I wonder what planet are you from? honestly, wishing that more Americans would die so we won’t try to take over the world????? what crap have you been taught in your socialist schools?? I seem to remember after World War II, the one where we , along with our courageous British Allies, liberated your country, The US had the Nuclear Monopoly, Nobody could have defeated us, not even the Russians, Yet we didn’t take over the world, No instead we helped Western Europe grow and prosper, unlike Eastern Europe under the Russians, and of course we helped the Japanese become an economic power, ditto for the South Koreans a few years later…..So where is your proof of Evil America trying to take over the world?????? just because people like Mickey Mouse and McDonalds isn’r evidence that were trying to conquer anything.
By the way just had some delicious Belgium chocolates, excellent!!!
I guess all the celebrations in Iraq are some US hollywood propoganda as well?

    To All,

I will still read the other forums, especially the Warbird, flypast, sections. Not afraid of a good debate, but really have to fly a mission soon, Kev, arthur, I may well be at the “Stein” and probably would enjoy a beer or two with you, even if we don’t share the same politics, just remember when the chips are down you won’t find a better ally than the US

    Arthur,

You are right about the Sukkoi! I’m tired of arguing with you guys. Obviously the United States is a force of evil in the world right now, especially troublesome is the constant rhetoric about Bush….Alot of the same arguments were made about Ronald Reagan, yet his policies went a long way towards helping alot of countries attain freedom from communist rule. Soon Iraq will be under the iron fist of American colonialism, just like Japan, South Korea, and Western Europe!!!! We have plundered their economies for 50 years!!!!
Steve is right, the US is scared that Europe will rise again, we will all be flying Airbus’s, eating quiche, and drinking lowenbraus!!! You all have found us out!!!!
Good-Bye to this forum, Unfortunately I will be on your continent next week, If I run into any of you, I’ll be proudly wearing my USAF uniform, please don’t throw any stones at me or my jet.
The world will be a much better place when countries like Russia, China, and France are in control!!!
    Good-bye and Good riddance!

    Arthur,

In your home, do you ask your wife, kids, in laws, Aunts and Uncles what they think about concerning any decisions you have to make, or do you do what you deem is most appropriate for your families welfare? Its nice to have the whole world united on a issue and we could all sing “Kumbaya” but show me any other time in history when the world was United in a common cause? the closest was Gulf War 1, I think thats the problem, people think thats the way all things should be handled, The UN hasd there chance they failed, now its our turn, I heard we’re sending 250,000 inspectors over to Iraq as we speak.
    Nice Mig

    Kev,

Well spoken, however you ask, why Now? Why not after Bin Laden is captured? I think we are viewing events from different perspectives. First there is no reason the US can’t fight both fronts, We still have a huge amount of military power in reserve stateside, (of which I am part of) as well as in Europe Korea/Japan etc… Do you suggest we take care of one issue at a time? would that make you more comfortable? I really don’t get your point? The battles in Afghanistan are ongoing as we speak, The Hunt for Bin Laden is not as manpower intensive as you may think, only a few thousand (10,000) soldiers on the ground, if that much. Afghanistan is a spec-ops/intel operation, not a massive war. Take a good look at whats going on in North Korea to understand Bush’s motives. Clinton signed a treaty ,that was binding, with the North Koreans, in which they promised to cease building nuclear weapons in return for food, oil, and aid. They recieved the food ,oil and aid, and now have built a NUCLEAR WEAPON!!!!! In light of this the whole korean dialogue has changed, and they can nuke Japan and some say parts of the US. After we were attacked on Sept 11th the possibility of another two-bit dictator getting such weaponry and basically blackmailing the US with threats or even worse supplying Al-Qiada can not be tolorated. Iraq has shown the desire to build such weapons and the UN has been useless in stopping him, So BEFORE HE GETS HIS NUKES we will take him out. Since North Korea has nukes I guarentee you we will have to negociate a deal with them and the US will pay to help protect yet another ally and ourselves. You see we tried to be nice and get the world to hug us and we were attacked by terrorists and are threatened by the regime in North Korea, So were are trying a different tack. After the next few weeks maybe some of these countries will think twice about their actions. Sorry to be so verbose, but these are serious issues and some people like to simplify them to the point of incredulity (sp?)
Take Care, Americans are not monsters, The villians in this mess are in Bahgdad, North Korea, and ****ting bricks in some cave in Afghanistan,
Latest Poll 73% of Americans support this war. Fox News
