The live webcam and live ATC audio stream at LBA was shutdown recently. This is located on the Multiflight hangar. The reasons given security.
Correct. That link was intended for students and should return to them in the future, but in a passworded section of the website. (Apparently…)
Well, no. The B757 are considered “heavy” (the ones creating wake turbulences). I donΒ΄t know the reason. Probably due to the lengh and size of the wings.
The B752 isn’t usually classed as “heavy”, except aircraft that have exemption to exceed max gross weights of above 136 tons.
The FAA did some studies into the 757/767 wake turbulence and these were roughly the results; 757 290fps, 767 190fps.
The 757 is classed as a ‘heavy’ for spacing because of the nature of its wake turbulence…
Heavy – Heavy 4 miles (Such as a 777)
Heavy – Medium 5 miles (Such as a 737)
Heavy – Light 8 miles

Nothing educated comes from you Nagy ;).
Like your SatNav then! π
Do you have any idea about the timetable
I’d say in the next month or so, but that’s just an ‘educated’ guess.
It’s exactly the same as BAs.
I’m not on about the position of things, I mean it visually looks nicer (i.e quoting ‘that looks horrible’ in my previous post – I guess it could have been phrased better (if you want to be critical :D).
BA’s blue stripe made their livery look too cluttered compared to this.
Oh dear god, they get worse…that looks horrible, the blue just doesnt suit it at all!
I don’t think it’s too bad… A lot better than BA’s attempt!
What happens if you’ve ‘misplaced’ your wallet and you’re very very desperate…
It’s fine to listen to ATC from around the world in the UK.
Just because a plane crashes, that does not mean it should burst into flames.
Fuel tanks are designed to withstand a certain degree of impact stresses.
Looks like they did their job here.http://www.airliners.net/photo/Turkish-Airlines/Boeing-737-8F2/1489066/L/

When did I ever say anything to contradict that? π
How quickly good news can turn into bad news. Very tragic, RIP to those lost.
Does seem a bit odd that it didn’t make the runway in supposedly decent weather conditions. You do have to ask whether they ran out of fuel, which is a realistic possibility given the lack of fire & sudden nature of crash.
I highly doubt that is the case. Even if it was a system fault (giving an inaccurate fuel reading – i.e no fuel emergency) there are no reports that the aircraft had to hold for vast amounts of time.
Look at the BA 772, there was no fire there but it had sufficient fuel.
I’m not here to make judgments on what could or couldn’t of happened, I just look forward to reading the investigation with interest.
The REA is stunning!
The others aren’t too bad either…
Thanks Guys.
Nice work Sam – Very nice indeed.
He’s always on the scene… FMS
Cheers Guys,
Much appreciated!
Sorry to tag onto this thread, but anything interesting due in tomorrow worth a trip over for?
Make sure to get plenty of pics of the QR A333 if you do! π
Great shots, CW!
Are all these photos taken from the AVP?
Yep.
