Anyone know anything about the Cheetha that was sold beyond its sale price?
PGC Demolition from Rochdale, a father & son team who collect all sorts of things to save them, this was the company that salvaged the Riverdance cargo ship of the beach at Blackpool, they also got the wheels and tyres, Jetstream, tons on prints, photos and magazines plus lots more inc £300 for a post war air raid siren.

As you may be aware the above museum was recently closed to the public and the company entered in to Liquidation on 10 September 2010. Jeanette Brown of Dodd & Co in Penrith was appointed Liquidator.
The volunteers at the museum have been working very hard to return items donated or loaned to the museum by third parties. This is as you can imagine an onerous task as the collection has been built up over the last 18 years.
The Liquidator is anxious that third party items are returned to their rightful owners and that any items of historic or sentimental value are disposed of in a sympathetic manner. Ideally this would be by donating them to a similar organisation who would ensure they are preserved and made available to the public.
However the Liquidator has a duty to the creditors (those owed money by the company) to realise any assets owned by the company for the best possible value. The volunteers are currently trying to get together a list of all items owned by the company which will in due course be offered for sale. This list will be forwarded to potential interested parties as soon as it is available.
If you are interested in any of the exhibits left at the museum please contact Carol Tindal at Dodd & Co on 01768 864466 or on Carol@doddaccountants.co.uk
