I flew on LH A300 D-AIAU from LHR to FRA in April. The a/c was very loud!! and the f/a bit my head off (almost literally!!) when I asked politely for a glass of water!!
That LH A300 seems very strange indeed!
I think airlines choose thei regs. as long as the CAA agrees with it.
three more to mention:
Go fly ltd:
G-IGOA
G-IGOB
G-IGOC
G-IGOE
G-IGOF
For some reason a few regs. were missing in the pattern for example G-IGOD. Does anyone know why? maybe they were already registered as light a/c or helicopters or smthn.
Easyjet:
G-EZYA
G-EZYB
G-EZYC
etc
Astreaus
G-STRA
G-STRB
G-STRC
G-STRD
for some reason they jumped to G-STRZ with their ex av8 757.
I went there back in April and it was fantastic!!!
I got some of the best shots I’ve ever taken form that viewing terrace. I had the pleasure of flying on A300 D-AIAU of LH from LHR and spending two weeks in Bad Homburg with my German friend’s family. returned to LHR on LH 733 D-ABEC.
I experienced wake turbulance for the first ever time on the A300 taking off from LHR. I couldn’t stop thinking about the AA A300 from New York that crashed due to wake tubulance from a JAL 744. It turned out ok though !
I like the new ERJ-170!
Oh dear wilag!!! 😮 :p
Great Pics Dan!!!!!!!!
Whenver I fly into Heathrow (well, all airports really but LHR especially) I always try to see if I can see anyone on the ground taking photos and noramlly I cant see anyone but sometimes I see a few flashes (photo, flashes that is!) taking place on the ground.
I agree with Ren Frew,
The Easyjet brand is very well known, in fact I think it’s so well known it’s too well known and people are getting fed up with it like me. They could keep the whole easyjet.com brand, it doesn’t have to be a whole new identity name change – but it does need to be rivised and updated it a bit to give it a desperatly needed REFRESH!
I think it would do them the world of good!
I’m glad you have explained gpb croppers63 I’ve always wondered about your username and a few others on here too!
‘BY767 I am flying into Dinard in the summer, from Guernsey on the Trislander! Tres interesent’ by Mark L
One of my friends came from BRS-JER (BA ERJ-145) JER-DNR with Aurigny on one of those trislanders and she said it was horrible!
Unfortunatly I probably won’t be there at DNR. I was there only a few weeks ago. I will probably be near to another remote French Airport used by Ryanair – St. Etienne (near Lyon) whilst on holiday and learning French there.
I’ve been on here a fair while and I still can’t get on avator to work!
Im also getting sick of the orange!, at BRS.
I miss the GO a/c, they were much more interesting! Often you could see one a/c take off and then see it land a few hours later as you knew it was the same a/c as they were all different. You could also tell if there was a visiting non-bsed a/c from STN too. Nowerdays it’s just all the identical orange EZY army! they need a new livery!

I live in the scenery behind the AMM 757. That GO 737 would have flown over my house! The water you can see is the Bristol Channel and the land on the other side of it is South Wales.

No, sorry I do understand what it means (I have to use it all the time!!) but I didn’t underated the context WD was using it in. I didn’t know what he meant but I do now!
OK
tnx for sayin
I always get that same problem too!
I always zoom in too much and it misses the a/c’s nose or tail!! VERY annoying! I get so concentrated with taking the photo I forget. I don’t know about other people’s digital cameras but there is a half-a-second time lap from when you press the button to the time it actually takes the picture so you have to be a few seconds before!
It will be sad to see those old buzz 737’s leaving…. it will be interesting to see what FR uses as a repacement for the smaller a/c (200’s and 300’s) it has going at the moment.
tenhije,
The DUB-BRS route is almost def. a 737-200 (about 98% certain) There has only been about 4/5 times in several years when it has been otherwise – (a HH 734, an FR 738, an XLA 738, a UK 733 and BAE 146-300).
I’m not sure that the UK (buzz) a/c were opperating for FR (it may have been for KLM) but they probably were.
WD,
What is the “Ctrl-alt-delete” all about?
