This whole debate and others of similer content is biased, were only talking about what we want and want the pilot might want. We should remember that too an airline, customer satisfaction is what makes a key factor in decisions, people say and have pointed out in survays that Airbus’s have better comfort levels, they also have better economics and are better for pilots because of the whole same flight deck.

Just think, that to an airline what is more important, customer satisfaction and lower costs or better handling/looking??

I have seen this aircraft a few years ago while we parked our car at the long term car park at LGW South Terminal, I stood there for a few minutes watching it come over and another few wandering “why is it in VS colours???”.

MINIDOH I wrote for my “original writing” coursework about an air disaster, if you are planning to make it up then you have to focus on the charachters feelings more than the aircraft and the noises. I got a C+ for it, and I will admit it, it was c**p. Hopefully you have an imaginative teacher he’ll paise your work and give you a good grade.

If you want games, and lots of them then go for an Xbox, my friend connected his xbox to his computer and downloaded games onto it’s hard-drive and onto some discs, he know has every single game created for the x-box!! He gets an update on his PC telling him about a new game, just connects his console up and downloads it.

Does the PS2 do this ??? I don’t think so.

Is there a website for IXO ?

Yes there is it is http://www.ixomodels.com. The company specialises in model cars but does have some planes in their inventory.

If they release a Virgin version I may buy that too.

Ren Frew, I have an A340-600 in Virgin colours (die cast) made by IXO models, i bought this and a A340-300 in virgin colours from Virgin on-board duty free.

UK charters (with exception to a few) have charged £15 for a meal on long-haul flights for well over a year now. Some of the US carriers (hint:United) have already tested this method and seriously considering this move for their big short haul networks.

I would think that this would not be acceptable in europe as we are not used to “quick hops” all of the time when we fly abroad.

America West and BA have some deal on routes on the West coast I think. They are shown on the “High Life” map anyway.

Funnily enough this is true, but Virgin and America West also have an agreement, so it seems that America West is getting the best of both worlds.

Some say that KLM/NW breakup is pointless, but if KLM are in doubt then would’nt they not be better off with OneWorld. They will then have the strong euro connections with BA without the “seperate no frills airlines” tagging along and still have an American connection with AA.

Does anyone know if continental will be restarting their stansted route anytime soon???? This would be really handy for me as it saves a three hour car journey to LGW or a 4 hour train trip with baggage, or a 5 hour bus trip.

    Cheers for any replies.

Look at New York, especially in the summer when it’s hot. Great people and atmoshpere with loads to do, loads of hotels to choose from and plenty of planes in the skies around manhatten, if you prefer the beach then go to New Jersey for a bit of both.

Chicago, my personnal favorite as there is so many things to do and the people are so nice. Sears Tower is cool, great views from the 103rd floor. Do not go in October, this is when the Chicago marathon is which is what we usually go for and the hotels are jam packed and the marathon usually use the majority of all rooms in Hilton Hotels.

FLORIDA!!!! i’ve been here well over 30 times now and still have’nt seen everything, you do have the usual tourist attractions around orlando but you’ve some of the best beaches in the world, some of the best golf courses around the world and just really nice scenery that you can sit and relax.

If you want more of a “sit by the pool and and relax” trip then look some of the carribean islands or the indian ocean, south pacific ‘ish.

… says the guy who had trouble at US Immigration recently…

They let me in though did they not. Having a problem can be a good thing, it means they’ve heard of SECURITY and CUSTOMS, something lacking on arrival at LGW nowadays, there are no persons at the “something to declare” area.
