Here’s one I photographed earlier….
Looks as if Kermit, or others may have infringed the Cardington Danger Zone. In place to prevent the unwary from having their horizontal surfaces removed by the tethering wire of the barrage balloon that is still occasionally deployed at Cardington.
Regarding the no.1 shed. It was definitely in the terms of the housing development, that it was to be preserved/restored. Some years ago the record was broken for the number of hot air balloons inflated within a building. Over 100 as I recall. During my visit, it was mandatory to wear hard hats while in the shed as bits were considered likely to drop from the structure above…
Back in the early 1990’s there was an ATC sponsered fly-in to Cardington, which I attended. I can state that Cardington is better suited for balloon than to aeroplanes! Not only is the ground very rough, but if there is a wind over the hangars, the roll over effect makes rates of climb on take-off problematical!

What clouds?

I had the pleasure of meeting Kermit yesterday at Old Warden, before he flew the Albatros. He is very much a “hands on” man and was on his back under the tailplane of the Albatross, before later flying it in formation with the RE.8. I’d wear a white silk scarf too if I was able to fly an Albatros!
Sunderland? What about the Cierva C.30A???
Personally, I prefer this Kitfire…
More
Here are a few I took.
I’ve still got a couple of Trix Twin trucks and carriage…anyone interested?
