Here’s the only pic that has come to light so far taken on North Side, this time taken from the official public viewing area. Some of the subject was missed, but hey I was only about 12 at the time using a borrowed box Brownie.

Longshot, that pic of the TWA 1049G must have been taken from a prohibited area! I was turfed out many times by the airport police for venturing 10 feet past the sign to the same spot.

Don’t you just love those tip tanks? This one didn’t have them though, probably because it’s not a 1049G. Royal air Maroc CN-CCP L-749A.

Arrrgh Phil lad. When I be younger, I be taking the pics of anything that flew. It’s just now that I have one of those new fangled slide scanners that some of the oldies are revealing themselves. Thank you for the offer of the slides, but on this occasion, I feel I must let them go to a more worthy cause! Want to buy my collection???
